Great ad.

So Vita allows one to ignore every one around them, and play while their nails are being done? one handed?
*not as bad as psp squirls but its up there*

I'd always figure with early launch system advertisements, one of the most important messages you'd want to get out are what games are available and upcoming, or new features on the system.
Seems like this ad would be better suited later in vita's lifespan.
I like it better than 3ds latest commercialp4s2p0The one featuring mario kart with the japanese school girls at the end was awesome. :(
[QUOTE="finalstar2007"]Pretty weak add in comparison to the British/European one. This is the North American ad

lmao! nice one.
The ad is definitely similar to ones they have done in the past, but its good, so why the heck not. I like a little gameplay, which is why I enjoy the 2 new 3DS ads more.
Not bad, but not good either, it's not exactly advertising their handheld very well it's more like saying "Hey guys this let's you play games anywhere!!!!" Yeah no **** people know what handhelds are Sony.bobbetybob...nintendo had to make special ads to make it clear to people that the 3DS was a new handheld and not just another version of the DS. so yeah, some people need to be made aware of something they should already know.
That's a great ad for people who already know what the Vita is and what it is capable of.
I still think they need some non-creative commercials that just get the point across that it is the PSP successor, has dual analogs, is capable of PS3 esque graphics and gameplay, shows some features like the front and rear touch pads/screens... I think they need to actively run 2 different commercials, one like the one posted in the original post and one that describes the device to people who don't know about it.
Am yet to see anything on UK TV, but I will keep looking. I am really on the fence about the Vita, and I need some adverts to convince me (and the girlfriend) that this is a good use of my money.thetruespingo to youtube and see all the tech demos and previews and all that on the vita, you seriously need an ad to tell you information about it when you have the whole web?
the Vita has too many functions to squeeze down into a tv spot,That's a great ad for people who already know what the Vita is and what it is capable of.

I miss the PSP squirrels. Bread_or_DecideSo do I actually. Anyway, this Vita ad was surprisingly good. I was expecting Sony to bomb it with creepy baby BS again.
I liked...a lot tbh =/Giancar
no surprise there^^:P
idk, Sony ads r never perfect, almost, like 360 ads are. they're always missing something to make them really great and eye catching. this one is just too long and shows zero gameplay and a glimpse of Vita at the end. most people besides diehard cows will look at this mess n change channels 20 seconds in. Sony's ads r counter productive n pointless.
like one user said, why did they make a commercial braggin about being able to play a handheld anywhere....thats what handhelds do! lol...stupid.
can you play your FIFA ps3 on the BUS? yh I thought soDid they show that in the ad? They showed someone STANDING on a bus, but that's not useful information to someone who doesn't already know what a Vita is. There's nothing in the ad to differentiate it from a PSP either, besides the name.[QUOTE="ActionRemix"]I'm not sure a normal guy is going to connect the dots between watching this ad and buying a Vita. "I have Fifa on my PS3. Why do I need this?"Zaibach

While people are generally stupid, I believe at least, this is ridiculous. Guy on the beach had it in his hands. Also, they show the system at the end of the commercial. "HMM SCREEN IN MIDDLE, BUTTONS ON SIDES, SMALL DEVICE, WONDER WHAT IT'S FOR HERRP DERPPPP." Also, the whole having to show every single thing about it in a commercial is idiotic. Commercials aren't infomercials, they're to spark interest. People are more likely to go look things up on the internet after they see a commercial on them.

I didn't even notice the Vita on the beach until the second viewing. Compare to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFf-mUcFbL0 Which one gives the viewer a clue about what the product is and which one is a montage of inspiring movie scenes?[QUOTE="woodenfork21"][QUOTE="Giancar"]I liked...a lot tbh =/Giancar

why? I´ve been pretty critical with Sony when I had to be :? and I don´t care for the Vita very much, well with handhelds in general tbh ok, i apologize then.[QUOTE="bleehum"][QUOTE="ActionRemix"]Did they show that in the ad?
