PS Vita + PS Vita companion device $560 at Best Buy

This starts next week, June 8th in the USA.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post ad scans here, but it comes out to a savings of about $40 between the two devices.

Would you be interested, seeing as the PS Vita companion device has no games and the Vita is second to the PC on Metacritic for number of highly rated games this year?

Does this bode well for the future of either system?

It's only a $40 discount, not even 10% off the total purchase (not even close). Not much of a deal IMO.

I'll bet Vita gets is price cut soon too.

I'd say pretty worth it to be honest so its like your getting $20 off on each system so basically your getting a PS4 for $380+ PSVita for $180=560 smaller than paying $600 for both separately.

i think its win win for both parties or with friends one pays $180 and the other who wants a PS4 pays $380 ( $20 less for both )

i think when nintendo took monster hunter away.....it killed its sales potential which made a lot of developers turn away from it.

Also I already have both. I just uninstalled BL2 since it kept freezing so I'm not touching that until it gets patched.

That seems like a pretty expensive companion device to go with your Vita.

That's a smart deal for those that have neither and Know they want both. Not sure that's many people though, and the discount isn't really enough to sway opinions.

Already have 3 Vitas so its useless for me. The newer model Vita is worse and you don't save much in the bundle so I don't get why anyone would want it.

If Sony comes out at E3 with a lot of Vita games then it might be a little more of an attractive bundle.

You can get the more superior Borderlands 2 on a console or pc for like 8 bucks on ebay right now.

If the bundle had some more attractive games like Infamous SS and Tearaway in it I would really consider it.

Wish they would have offered up a bundle before I bought my PS4 and Vita separately...like when the PS4 launched.

Honestly, I could see a bundle between the two doing very well by the Holidays.

$500 seems like a sweetspot for this bundle. It also needs to include a better game than Borderlands 2, one of the most overrated pieces of garbage in the past decade.

I am a sales manager at Best Buy (have posted pics to prove it in the past) and can confirm this deal. A year of PS+ will only be $39.99 for the week as well. Also, gamers club unlocked will be $60 for 2 years for another week and there is a $150 trade in on select consoles (250 gig 360 or a ps3 slim) IF IT GOES TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF AN XBONE.

$560 is way too expensive to a point it won't move many units. They should have went with a $499 price point and then people would actually compare the bundle to Xbox One and Lamect therefore generate lots of interest.

Sony really needs to stop marketing the Vita as a remote play device, and I swear, this bundle is the epitome of leashing it to the PS4 (next to actually tying it to the system).

Sony doesn't understand that the Vita is a damn good piece of hardware. Seriously, aside from the terrible rear touch pad, there is nothing I can complain about from a hardware standpoint. But why isn't Sony releasing any Vita games? Why are the only ones who are providing games for the system indie developers and Japanese developers like those who are making Freedom Wars? Why is Sony so dead set on not doing anything for this system?

I'm so tired of Sony neglecting this system, because it's a great piece of hardware. The Vita is a great piece of hardware. On its own. Not glued to the PS4 like Sony has been doing for the past year. They can do so much with it if they actually take it seriously and stop letting it fend for itself on a market that Nintendo has owned for decades. Bundling it with the PS4 might sell some units, but it doesn't solve the Vita's problem of having next to no support from Sony themselves. It's downright pathetic.

I can get a PS4 in the $300 range and can get a Vita in the $150 range so not really.

I still dont get why the title still says Vita+Vita, you'd think it would be edited to Ps4+Vita by now :P

since this is confirmed cannot wait to buy it! this is the bundle that i shall be buying.. i'll pay $380 and get the PS4 while my brother to pay $180 and get the Vita with each of us saving $20.
