Xbox was a more powerful system, but PS2 had the better games. Also, I went through 2 PS2s and the second one died last year. My Xbox launch model is still running strong.

I gave up that gen almost two years ago, but PS2 was a better system overall, while the Xbox had my favorite game(s).

The PS2does not last long...everyone I know with a PS2 had to buy a new one at one point or another because it failed

but I agree for the most part but I enjoyed Xbox 1 up until I got my 360 it was a great system and I honestly don't care that its dead/dying because I really wouldn't buy anything that would be coming out for it and I am played out on anything that has been released already...I will probably go back and play a couple of PS2 games in the future though because I didn't own a PS2 last gen and there are a cple games I would like to go back and play...

Sony still needs it and makes money from it, whereas the GameCube and Xbox being on the market was hurtful to both Microsoft and Nintendo.

Sony support for the ps2 was excellent leading up to the ps3 launch and after the launch but at this point Sony has pretty much stopped supporting it with top dog franchises that we love and are concentrated on just delivering the ps2 casual games. The cool thing about the system is that it is still getting a lot of quality third party games. There is probably enough quality coming for the rest of this year to satisfy your average gamer.

Yea Ps2 does get good game releases still, and Sony does need it, and there still making plenty of money for it.

As for the Xbox, well lets just say microsoft forgot all about it
