PS3 250GB Bundle Detailed, $350, available november 3

big woop... have a 120g ps3 havent even hit 15g of taken space on it. Heck, I have a 60g 360 which i play all the time and i havent hit 40g on it.

WE the ps3 users take more advantage of the gigs or we are more dependent of the gigs than the xbox users. you should know that by now.

$350? Yeah I think most of the sales will come from the slim. Most people don't even use things that take up that much space.

I don't think 100GB of more space can be justified as a new option... All most people are gonna see is the price tag.

No point,Im just saying that its a good thing they made a ps3 with a much bigger hard drive.

Kinda meh about this. The best thing about the PS3 HDD strategy is that you can upgrade it yourself easily enough. So, personally I wouldn't bother paying the extra $50 now, when you can upgrade at any time later for a reasonable cost. Which is different than the 360 where they rob you blind for a HDD upgrade later. So, blah, whatever., it's just another update in an endless stream of marginal updates this gen. Of course, I am more than happy with my 80GB space as it is, so maybe I just don't use my PS3 for enough things.

if you're going to have multiple SKUs, they shouldnt half-ass it like that though. for $50 more, i can get an xbox360 with the same HDD that also comes with a game, an extra controller and of course, a headset

unless youre deadset on getting a ps3, it doesnt seem like a good idea. if theyre going to phase out the 120gb, throw U2 in with the 250gb or something, dont "wait" for the 250gb to take over when throwing in some goodies would "phase out" the 120gb a helluva a lot faster

I guess for new buyers who don't want to bother but yea.. if I ever need more room I'll just buy the HDD and install it myself.

I remember posting a thread about this ages ago. The 250Gb PS3 has been on GAME's console list for a month or two.

Would of been a better deal if they bundled a game with it like Ratchet and Clank or Uncharted 2.

I saw on wikipedia that the one in Australia has UC2, the new Ratchet and Clank, eye toy, and singstar with it. WOW!!! I wonder why they didnt do that for the US release.

You're absolutely wrong. A PS3 harddrive is hard to change and was more stressful than every bossfight i have ever done. I stripped one of the screws.

It's not cool to upgrade, i thought i broke the ps3 at first.

Trust me, I like the way the 360's is so easy to remove. I just wish it was that easy for the PS3

LOL, knowledge is a powerful thing. Like knowing there are different phillips screwdrivers and it's not a 1 size fits all. I had no problems upgrading and 500 gigs for $90 with a little knowledge goes alot further than no knowledge and and a 250gig sku.Seriously, you pop a cover off remove a screw pull the tray out, take out 4 more screws then reverse. It couldn't be any more easier than that.
