Probably not as people I know use internet sources to see if it's worth buying a PS3 for it's price or not. The results are that for what they are charging, it need more features than what it's offering.....

At least 360 comes with two free games. Ps3 only comes with Spiderman 3 on Blu-Ray.

Answer back? Hmmm... Lets see. Sony has not only buried themselves this generation, they have now managed to bury themselves NEXT generation too! They have cut the price / shuffled models many times in the last year. All I heard was the PS3 was an "investment" and "worth it". Well, its obvious not even Sony has found it to be worth it. What is worth it is the 360, which my launch day purchase was only 50 bucks more than the guys getting one now, nearly 2 years later. Boy would I feel stupid, and definitely not buy next launch if I watched the price and of my Nov PS3 get dropped, upgraded, and then dropped again! within the first YEAR! This is not something that needs answered back from MS, this is Sony flopping like a fish on dry land, gasping. You think its a good sign that they have to do all this wriggling around? What I am seeing is that the MS console was the better investment, and still worth what I payed for it. Whereas the PS3 console has taken signifigant price drops and changes in the first year! Everybody knows that all xbox360 is doomed with the Red Lights of Death no one can escaped it. Microsoft choose to rush their system out and didn't care about the quality, and now their suffering because they lost billions, and billions of dollars on repairs. I know damn right Microsoft won't respond back because financially they don't want to take another big hit Also, Microsoft have 50 dollars price dropped after Sony announced they slashed 100 dollars of the 60GB SKU. They follow Sony because they are terrified that PS3 will make a big come back and destroy them. If you want a system with great games and movies at the right price and it will last for 10 years the PS3 is worth all your money!! Sony got some great games coming out and in 0'8 and 0'9 they basicailly owned it..

Now for the 360 i dont see anyting promising next year. Also by the time NG2 or Alan Wake comes out its not gauranteed your 360 will work..lol..

RIGHT NOW, the 360 has a much more appealing library. The Pro and Elite consoles will come with Marvel Ultimate Alliance (meh), and Forza Motorsport 2 (hoorah!). The Pro (20GB) would be $100 less than the 40GB PS3. But then the 120GB Elite will be the same price as the 40GB PS3. There's a kick in the pants for you. That pretty much makes the 80GB PS3 obsulete. You pay $100 more, and get 40GB less than the 360, and one game (Motorstorm is a good game though).

Microsoft has still got the upper-hand.

I think the PS3 is the better value, at least for me. I bought the wifi adapter, live, and the play and charge kit. That's more than what I paid for my 60gb PS3 that comes with all of those things and an hd movie player. I did have to buy the HD cables though, but I got those for $10 at Target.

Like many of you said though, whatis a system worth without games? I agree with you to an extent, but PS3 gamers will be pretty busy this fall with Ratchet, Haze and Uncharted not to mention the awesome multiplats. It is definitely a system worth owning if you have the extra cash laying around and you will surely be missing out next year if you don't have a PS3. 360 is the better system though currently because it has the best library, and that may not ever change, but the PS3's will start to show some quality especially after one month's time.

They have a bigger library of games ill give it to them FOR NOW. But wouldn't you think the people who have a 360 might consider getting the PS3?? I am not talking about fanboys but hardcore gamers because a lot of them is waiting for cheaper PS3 and Sony deliver it. Sony have some great exclusive gamess releasing this holiday. Microsoft always have the bundle pack deal..I don't see any difference..

You can't add in XBL. Not everyone who buys a 360 gets online. So the 360 is still cheaper.

And I don't see what more MS can do. They're getting great exclusives like Mass Effect, NG2, GTAIV DLC etc, so they just gotta wait and see how consumers will react now. Best thing for them to do is try and make the price of the 360 more affordable as soon as possible.
