PS3 and X-box360 graphics are outdated!

It's a shame that the market for high-def PC gaming is so small, it can hardly be appreciated. It seems big here, but that's just because the gamers here are hardcore. There's a reason Crysis isn't as big as it should be. If Halo released first on the PC, would it be as popular?Deiuos

No it's just what you said makes no sense, for example:

What are you on about there? Even the cheapest monitors available are capable of above 720p resolutions, 1280x1024/1280x800 are considered low spec gaming resolutions. So how exactly is the 'high-def' PC gaming market small? We were playing at above HD resolutions over a decade ago.

Well, 360 gets all the best looking PC games, like Alan Wake, Mass Effect (that is a 360 game actually), KUF2, Two Worlds Temptation and its own stunnign looking games like Fable 2 which looks better than any PC RPG !!!! by some miles and Gears 2

I do not see anything ... outdated about 360, when it gets some of the very best looking games in 2008 and 2009, and all the best looking PC games (bar Crysis)

What? Have you ever even played it on the 360? I've played GTAIV on my Buddy's PS3 and the frame rate is FAR worse on the PS3.

Who told you he is using a monitor rather than his big tv? Who told you he is using 2.1 speakers? Who told you he doesn't have a comfy chair? The last part makes even less sense, your TV and console cost money and that's what you have to pay for to game with people in the same room, how is it priceless? Even though I don't know why you console guys make a big deal about that since most console games focus on online.

That is debatable. Since the console is in the living room more console gamers game in a home theatre environment than PC gamers.

Why not just plug a good PC into that awesome TV set-up and get better graphics and resolution? All of the things you mentioned aren't even a bonus. It's just that that's the only option for consoles while PC can do both.

PC has superior graphics, OK we knew that already. There is nothing wrong with anyone creating a thread debating graphics between consoles as its exactly that a debate between consoles, no need to include PC as it's already as stated known to be better.

True, I frequently hook my PC to my 52" HDTV. I also have a Xbox 360 hooked up to my 24" monitor. Also I have a recliner with some home made improvements which I use as my computer chair that would most likely put his comfy couch to shame.

Knowing that the games I play on my PS3, Wii, DS, and every other console are graphically inferior to a few games on the PC does not bother me at all. I appreciate what I get, and don't ask for more. I chose my PS3, Wii, DS, and such over a gaming PC because I preferred the games for them more. I know PC gaming has better graphics... But that doesn't change the fact that the games don't interest me that much.DeathScape666

Crysis arguably is the only pc game that has better graphics than console games and its graphical prowess is getting pretty weak nowadays.

The only console game that comes close to PC games is gears 2. Even with that it suffers some serious framerate dips. Especially in the final chapter(not final stage for people nitpicking.. chapter)

Most people have headsets that do 192Khz 7.1/5.1 surround sound, which is way better than any speakers that are under $1000. And how much does it cost? Maybe $50-$60.
