shooter: Killzone 2, Resistance 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2 own halo 3 and gears

platformer: PS3 has Little Big Planet, does 360 even have any platformers?

racing: 360 may have Forza 3, but PS3 has GT5 coming up, which everyone knows is gonna own Forza

Adventure: PS3 has Infamous, what does 360 have? I don't think it even has any adventure games.

fighting: neither console has any exclusive fighting games

RPG: PS3 has Demon's Souls, the best RPG this gen, and 360 has Mass Effect. I think it's clear who wins.

I know there's gonna be some people going on about opinions and crap, but this isn't opinions, this is facts. Also, I know there's more genres than that, but those are the main genres.

Demon's Souls = late 2009, Mass Effect = 2007 i think it was? and let ME2 come out and see which one is better :)

PS3 also has Platform: Ratchet and clank future:tools of destruction, Ratchet and clank future: a crack in time, Spyro RPG: Folklore, Valkyri(sp?) Chronicals, White knight chronicals Action: Uncharted:Draks fortune, Uncharted:Among thieves FPS: Soccom, MAG your argument would be a lot better if you knew what your talking about. 360 does fail at platforms, at least compared to PS3 360 isn't as good as PS3 in action GTA 5 isn't out yet 360 wins in racers, since prologue is less than half a game. I think sony matched 360 is FPS's tho. ...which is odd since 360 is a western console.

Great another cow with a post full of opinion. Alright you think for FPS, Sony with those two games can beat Halo 3, ODST and Reach?? Keep dreaming. As for the part that 360 fails at platforming, have you seen XBLA? Splosion Man? Shadow Complex? Man, mods really need to lock the thread ASAP. 11 pages!!!!!

You really can't compare games from different time periods. Mass Effect was released in late 2007, and Demon's Souls in late 2009. Mass Effect 2 is coming up in a couple week. Based on the previews we've seen, Mass Effect 2 >>> Demon's Souls. (But you can argue that Mass Effect is not a "true" exclusive.) Halo 3 was released in late 2007. So you really can't compare it to Killzone 2 that was released almost two years later. I'm not a Halo fan, but Halo Reach may reclaim the "King of FPS" title for Xbox 360. It's the same with Gears of War II, which was released a year ahead of Uncharted 2. When Gears of War III is released, it may outshine Uncharted 2. As I've said, you really can't compared games from different time period. Mass Effect 2 *and* Demon's Souls are almost from the same time period. We'll find out how Mass Effect 2 fare compared to Demon's Souls in just two weeks.

And, FYI, Mass Effect (the first one) score higher than Demon's Souls at Metacritics and GameRankings.
