PS3 best console of all time?

No. Of course it has some great games but its easly the biggest flop/desapointment of all time....In my 20+ years of gaming i really cant see a bigger... one.

Good point, Factor in that it's outsold the PS3 and we begin to see just what a mega failure the PS3 really is. 120+ million users to 20 million. :lol: Ouccchh.

Well it's certainly my current favorite console, but a lot of that has to do with it being a BC model. I get to play all my PS2 games on it as well.

I wouldn't call it the best console of all-time right now, but I prefer it above anything else right now.

No. It's online system is not the best in the competition and it doesn't even have the highest scoring library this gen. How CAN it be the best of all time?

we can't say that till th end of this generation, when the PS3 has the best collection of games out there.

The ps1 alone with games like crash bandicoot, spyro and ape escape ( and they're not even the highest rated ones ) already beats the whole ps3 library put together.

Well, it is the best console of all time in terms of features and performance but in terms of games it isn't. In 5 or 10 years that might be a lot different.

EDIT: My PS3 can play (and upscale) all ps2 and ps1 games so I guess it could be conidered the best console ever.

IMO the PC is and always be the best gaming system.

Ok, as i'm a PC gamer i really haven't owned many consoles since 1990 when i started gaming. I have only owned a SNES, 360, PS1, and Wii. But, even I know that the PS3 is far from the best console of all time. If I had to choose it would definitely go to the SNES. :)

ps2 ,ps1 and snes are ahead of it for me,but if tc means from a hardware prospective then yes ps3 is the best console created(built in wifi,blueray,hard disk,rechargable wireless controller,{old versions backwards compability,card reader slots}etc),it is the most expensive too thought ,although it deserves the money.

if on the other hand is on the library of games for a console i have to go with ps1>>>ps2>snes>genesis>ps3 .sorry but ps1 kills all competition.

Even the improved models have a bad failure rate compared to the other two, but the PS2 had a bad failure rate to start off with too...

But meh, i don't think you can call any console the best of all time until at least half way through the next gen.

i think the best console of all time is ps2, the most and best games, but ina couple years ps3 will be the best of all time because of all the great games that r going to be added to its list, ps it already has alot of great gamescrazyyy-boyyyy
