PS3 browser!

I really hope it is mate, im thinking of getting a ps3 and browsing on the tv would be cool. For the time I have used it though it has been very frustrating, especially when they could have just used a popular browser instead!

My ps3 browser works great and gets a lot of use from me. Was just checking out SFIV trials on youtube on it yesterday.

Lol, it's not that bad.

I only use it for downloading PS3 themes(as many as I want for free, custom made by people) and going on Youtube.

It's fine for those, it's not that slow but it is pretty incompatible.

You can go to google and search images and save them to your photos. You can't do that with xbox. If it's running slow then you've got a slow ISP because mine runs fast. You can also google PS3 themes and download them straight to your themes. You can also watch HD Gametrailers on Gametrailers.com by selecting flash when the vid comes up and select continuous play. You can also watch youtube videos. You can also create your own themes on your PC for free with paint.net and PS3 theme creator and save them to a flash drive or PSP and install them on your PS3. I have made my own with saved images from googling images and saving them and I put some of my own photos in my theme. Of course you have to have 2 brain cells to figure out the great abilities of the PS3 and maybe you're not tech savvy enough to do that?

Oh and does xbox give free unlimited online IDs for gaming? NO. Can you upgrade to a 500gb HDD any brand for $100 with your xbox? NO. Does your xbox come with builtin WiFi and rechargable controllers and unscratchable Bluray discs? No.

No, this thread should have ended, and although he's a bit too excited, not everyone knows about these features. If he is going to talk about these features, why not do it in a gaming forum in a thread entitled "PS3 Browser!"?

Makes sense to me, I remember when this thread started yesterday, and I thought it would tank. I see the hatred kept it going, which is odd, since it's just a feature on the PS3 some use, some don't. I hardly use it, BUT when a buddy comes over, it's nice that I can pull up vids that I caught at work, just in the middle of conversation, and i don't have to take him to my 22 inch monitor upstairs in my office. Nope, we kick it in style in my livingroom drinking a beer and laughing.

It's a nice tool. I like it and I hope all consoles have it next gen. I know why the 360 doesn't have it, it's simple, THE Xbox Market Place movies.

OMG I've just come back from using the PS3 browser, I cannot belive people are using this as a great feature over the xbox, Its complete rubbish.

I have never seen something so slow and buggy, if you manage to load the page without it crashing and/or wasting away while you wait, you have to contend with awkward controls and incompatable sites! Firefox FTW!
