"Although the PhysX libraries accelerate a host of technologies, from physical object interactions to fluid-based particle effects like water and smoke, only the PlayStation 3 and a PhysX PC will have the horsepower to process all of the technology's features, Ageia executives said. The Xbox 360 will not be able to process the fluid-based technology, because of the limitations of its architecture."

Shocking...the PS3 does something better than the 360. It works both ways, you know. Both consoles have their strengths and weaknesses.

this is getting dumb can we just say that developers are fanboys also and that both systems can do everything pretty much the same thing(i am assuming this is in response to the AI comment from the splinter cell conviction dev?)

Incredible water effects in BIOSHOCK say hi! KTHXBYE.JiveT

Just to let you know, Bioshock doesnt use fluid effects, its just different shaders. Fluid effects (like waves and stuff) are not a flat surface, like the water effects in Bioshock, which are clearly flat surfaces, so stop being a fanboy.

PS. there is nothing special about bioshock, just another fps w/ no multiplayer.

Technology so important and in high demand that I just read an article in maximum pc magazine about how the company might be in trouble and that nobody really has any interest in using it.

OMG I can't deathmatch for the 100000000th time on an FPS. Why does everything need multiplayer? Plus Bioshock isn't just another FPS. Have you seen the previews? Let me guess your jealous because it's not coming to the PSTrippppppple.

Interesting... I can run fluid-based particle effects on my PC, and I don't have an PhysX card. I'm sure the 360 could do the same.

Lack of Replayability? Ken Levine has stated that there are multiple endings plus multiple ways to play from stealth to run and gun. I still don't get the whole  "game NEEDS multiplayer" logic to be good. Usually the best games are the one that focus just on single player. Ocarina of Time anybody?

What a reputable source :roll:sonicare

You don't need a source to know that the PS3 can do physics better, it has more MIPS than any market CPU atm, and is the only cpu that can do liquid-physics at a somewhat decent framrate (most cpu's can not ppu's can render it at about 1 fps)

And this from the company that couldn't even get a game to support their hardware in 2007. Oh how I wish their hardware was in the 360 :P.

Physx hardware isn't in the PS3, it can run their physics engine though, which your 360 can;t.... >.>

Hmmm... this reminds me that " Ray-tracing cloud" in Warhawk couple years back...

Cows were runing around and saying " PS3 is soooooo powerful....ray-tracing cloud FTW...!!"...

up to this day...no one knows what the heck is ray-tracing cloud, and no one mentions it anymore.

Yeah...so let's hype this fluid-based particle effects thing...what ever it is.....

fluid-based particle effects FTW!!!!

That is the worst, weakest, limpest flamebait I have seen today!!!! LMAO

Tell me you didn't just link to an article dated Sep 1, 2005 before the 360 even came out quoting some lame now dead company speculating about crap they knew nothing about months before the 360 even came out and more than a year before the PS3 came out? LMAO.

Do you people even read the stuff you link too?

BTW...absolutely love the counter-link submitted above, wherein the same losers you quoted from Sep 1st 2005 stated a few whopping days later that QUOTE WE REALLY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE 360 CAN DO ENDQUOTE.

LMAO. Check the link a few posts above this one. Talk about self ownage.

Does anyone realize that the significance of this link outweighs everything, from Madden to Ubisoft?

Well explained by a third party source. I think we have a winner.

Physics are overrated. Physics are great and can certainly benefit a game when used properly, but how many people would buy a console solely for superior physics. Look at how well the physics cards for the PC sold. Truth is, nobody really cares.
