ps3 cheaper then 360

stop saying ps3 needs a price cut and learn math (note the 360 is an arcade)

based on all the feedback I will add this. If you just want to pay for live for just 1 year and dont care about anything else like downloadable games, demos, booster packs THEN the 360 is a better deal till the year is up.

Ok a 199 360 is obviously cheaper then a 399 ps3 but to make it equal to the ps3 you will pay more in the long run especially with live as the years add up.

It's not "cheeper", you might as well add stuff you dont really need in gaming such as, 5 cups a day coffee, toilet paper money, packs of cigs, pizza, you're desktop pc electricity for posting in gamespot, telephone bill for calling sick leave... etc. etc. etc...

For me the ps3 is cheaper.

$199 gives you access to the entire library of Xbox 360 games. $399 gives you access to the entire library of PS3 games. If this is all you care about, as a consumer, then everything else is just noise.

You could extend your Live subscription for 2 more years with the numbers I gave you, and you'd STILL pay less than you would for a PS3. You can own whatever kind of 360 you want. I only gave you the prices needed to get the full experience, which is vastly cheaper than the PS3. You seem to be ignorant of the facts. I pity you, but yet, it's funny to watch your ridiculous struggle with this. Sony lied to you. I know, it must be like your father grounding you, or finding out that you're actually your next door neighbor's child, but you'll make it through, I promise.

It's all personal preference. If you add up the chart, yes 360 is costlier. I would only add up the chart if I felt I needed all that. I also had to buy a $50 HDMI cable in order to enjoy the almighty power of blu ray games or movies on my PS3. Why are no Sony fans addressing this when it is brought up repeatedly? If Blu Ray is such a selling point for the PS3 why not allow HD play back out of the box? I enjoy my PS3 and my 360, but not including the cost of what I think should be a basic component included(other blu ray players include HD cables)in this chart is stupid.cainetao11

Xbox 360 Arcade: $199

20 GB HDD + 3 months of Live through MS: $30

12 month Xbox Live Gold: $40 on Amazon

Final cost: $270

So, we have an Xbox 360, with a hard drive and 17 months of Live (12 month cards give you an extra month for free and you get one month free with a new Live account creation)

If you're really desperate for wireless play, I found a nice wireless router that can be set up for use as a bridge for $35. So, we've got a final cost of $305 which is still $95 less than the cheapest PS3. Try to refute the math all you want, the bottom line is, the most anyone will have to spend to play Xbox 360 games is $199 and that's it. You can add all of the add ons you want to justify the PS3's high price, but it doesn't matter. None of them are required and only serves to weaken your argument.
