3 thousand..maybe lemming is right pull it out..lol..but microsoft wont do it..they will just stop sendin 360 there until the one they have there gets sold out which will be impossible....either way i like seein their numbers..I wont be surprise when more PS3 will be sold when the big games comes out ..

That's some bad 360 sales figures. The PS3 is starting to do well though and Japan was always going to be a battle between Nintendo and Sony.

Can't wait for Super Paper Mario to come out in Japan, NSMB is still in the top ten, and has sold almost 5 million, I expect SPM to sell quite a bit as well, Japan loves 2D mario platformers

Heh actually he could buy 10 million of them and double the worlwide sales in Japan alone. It would only cost him around 4 billion. That would still leave him a net worth of 52 billion (must be nice being the richest person alive).

lets see....I believe there is a statistic stating that the PS2 sells more units in any given week than the Xbox (original) sells in a year in Japan. I believe we're about to see the next gen version of that statistic. Probably should at least wait to see if 360 can catch up to the PS2 sales haha

Yep one standard Japanese oriented game was able to spike it that much. We haven't gotten to any of the heavy hitters yet (for US or JP)

Because the Japanese are bored of consoles. In the West games have only been in the mainstream for about a gen and a half. There it's been for three, so that's why you notice gaming is declining, they're looking for something new. It's similar how the motion picture business there is exceeding, while here in America the box office keeps shrinking.

I'm also waiting for that 360 fanboy to say "But but....THE JAPANESE ARE RACIST!!!!"

No. But seeing as I've played many PS2 games created by japanese developers, none of them have looked as Asian as the guy I saw in Lost Planet.
