PS3 exclusives are forgetable

Nobody talks about GOW3, Uncharted 1, MGS4, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Twisted Metal, LBP, Killzone series, Resistance series and Infamous 1 & 2. The only ps3 game that get's any flock around here is Uncharted 2. Yet 360 exlcusives from 3-4 years ago such as GeOW2 and Halo 3 get's mentioned all the time. A ps3 exclusive will get a bunch of fame a month or 2 before it's release and then won't even get mentioned anymore after it's release. Why is that?

Because it's easier to hear talk about the only two exclusive series on a console than a dozen on the competing platform.

Wow, this couldn't be too much further from reality. Maybe considering the fact that there is only 2 or 3 exclusives worth playing on 360 and quite a few exclusives for PS3 that are very good games. Yeah, I know which ones I remember more...halo and gears definitely aren't one of them.

Yeah, well a 05 360 launch title but I played it early 06.:P Not as a great as RARE's older games, but still a quality title.:)

PS3 exclusives get touted a lot around here, and for good reason. A lot of them have been great.

wow your so jealous lol. typical hater, the 360 has NO good exclusives. which is why i sold my 360 and never looked back. ps3 has the best games.

Being frank, the only two games I ever hear about for the 360 are GeOW and Halo. Well, Forza comes up now and again. Seriously, if all the 360 has are these 2-3 titles then I feel that I made the right choice in getting a PS3. The fact that you could so quickly come up with 5-6 major titles for the PS3, which didn't even include Gran Turismo and a few others, shows the difference in the two systems. Being completely honest, I can't even think of another game, other than multiplats, that I've heard about for the 360 other than GeOW or Halo.

My question back to you? Why is that?

Which planet do you live on? There is a lot of discussion about all of those games, heck, there are even threads about Demon's Souls. And word of mouth doesn't equal memorability. I still remember Demon's Souls and MGS4 very fondly, they're amazing to this day.

im a 360 player now, but i will never forget the 4 months i had with my ps3 and mgs4, heavy rain, and uncharted 2. i still talk about mgs4 to this day. best game ever! 360 just comes out with more exclusives like halo, gears of war, alan wake and what not. almost everything is multi platform anyway, more money that way. i remember when gta was a sony exclusive. the only thing console exclusives do is help sway people who aren't sure which to get if hardware isn't an issue

No one brings up exclusives for the 360 either so it goes both ways.

Also.. the only 'forgettable' games are the ones like Heavenly Sword, Valkyria chronicles, Motorstorm etc but that's because of all the BIG and highly memorable exclusives PS3 gets like MGS4, UC2, GoW3, LBP, DS etc unlike 360.

Agreed. I've played R:FoM, UC1 and UC2, KZ2, MGS4, and Demons Souls. Everything except Demons Souls I only played through once to beat the story. I spent a little time with the MP for those games, but not much because it was a mediocre experience compared to playing Halo and Gears and CoD on my 360. Demons Souls is really the only exclusive on the PS3 worth talking about and with the spiritual sucessor being multi plat, I've kind of forgotten about DS too. That's why I sold my PS3, the exclusives just don't do it for me.FPSDad1161

You have a point here, guess I will blog about it. I still to this day remember every single level of Prince of Persia and I could pu together every single map of Dungeon Master 2. I dont think any of todays games would be the case...

I'm not saying yahoo is the most credible source of video game information, but they do help make a point if you're talking about a games popularity, or lack thereof.
