PS3 Fans: How High Are Your Expectations For MGS4?

I mean in terms of GS score; should we expect a AAA in the official hype thread, or we're not that confident it would get there from what we've seen so far?

Not very. Gamespot will most likly say it is more of the same and not really give it a high score.

Funny, they don't do that with Halos.

from what i've seen so far i would expect gamepot to rate it 9.5

of course this i what i would expect not what i will hype, we've seen what tends to happen when a game gets hyped

regardless of the gamespot review it will be one of ps3s best games

As far as gamespot score goes, I don't even care, this is the site that gave MGS an 8.5 remember? But as for the game, easily one of the best of 08 :D

how about because after 77 sites reviewed it it has a score of %93. wait until ratchet gets reviewed that many times and see if it's still at $90.

Basing on the past mgs series Gamespot score on consoles. Only mgs2 (let's not talk about substance/substiance/etc. here :P) got AAA status, and I think someone (cannot remember whom) at system wars said that Greg admited he overrated mgs2 due to the hype?

--- I can already imagine GS reviewer saying something bad about the FPS model... such as "it is different from other FPS!!" or "FPS doesn't suit MGS!" or some crappy excuses :/

seriously gs will give this game a bad rating because its just more of the same. story? confusing. its got great gameplay and terrific voice acting, but its story suffers an identity crisis. it doesnt know whether to be a shooter or a stealth game. it doesnt know whether to have an engaging narrative or a great game. it has both, but it just cant decide between them. its got lots of variety and all the variety is good! but you know what they say, variety is the spice of life. this game has too much spice.

Well, after the Ratchet review, MGS4 will probably score an 8 here.

For me, I have almost zero doubt that this game will be awarded my first ever 10. It'll be the best game of all-time.

I know it will get a 9.4 to 10 on every other site except GS, GS will probably give it an 8 saying the story its too complicated, that the game hasn't changed and some other stupid excuse.TanKLoveR
