PS3 Graphics - Money where your mouth is time

If you think the PS3 is capable of better graphics than Crysis please post your name in here.

Surely the almighty PS3 with it's 'godlike' graphics shown in Uncharted 2 and MGS4 will trounce the original Crysis? Don't be shy, we know who you are already but I want it recorded for posterity.

This isn't really necessary. The only people who do are either fakeboys, or extreme fanboys. Neither have realistic or warranted opinions.

That's cool, I just want to see them put their names in here. Fed up with every graphics thread turning into a bunch of PS3 fanboys screaming 'LALALA! We can't hear you, we just want to jump into the discussion with nothing to add and shout PS3 AM BEST GRAPHICS!'.

The Crysis developer said graphics aren't going to get any better than Crysis 1's this generation. The PS3 and Xbox don't have the hardware to run something like Crysis, so what makes people think Crysis 2 is going to look better on consoles than Crysis 1? All it seems to be that its going to be a watered down version for consoles at least lol.

looking at games like uncharted 2 and kz2. i do think ps3 is capable of better graphics. after playing the demo of crysis i was really disapointed by the graphics

Yeah, the head of Crysis dev said that because of consoles the graphics won't get better than Crysis's this generation. It's a big bummer, but at the same time makes PC gaming cheaper for now.

if we are comparing Crysis 2 to crysis then shouldnt you have us posting if we think 360 ANSD PS3 are capable of it?

before i can compare. how about you give me a budget range of the pc that runs the Crysis, then i'll use it to compare it with ps3/360 games. 1K pc running Crysis? is i do believe ps3 game can have better graphic than Crysis. a 4K workstation running Crysis, yeah no??

Count me in, I do believe that the likes of Uncharted2,KZ2 and even Locoroco look better than Crysis... its so obvious, why cant people just admit it...

if that one taker sis supposed to be me, Im not saying that. The only games on 360 and PS3 imo that can even come close to Crysis are Nuts and Bolts, Uncharted 2, and Farcry 2.

Don't even think that is even possible. Try again in a few years. If the GT200's struggle to play it at Ultra High settings then it is not possible.

You're not making much sense with what you're asking, here. You ask, "Can it?", but by placing a deadline and judging results, you seem to mean, "Will it?". These are two very different questions.

For example, can I improve my car enough to get it to do a quarter mile in 10 seconds? Yes. Will I? No. It's not worth the time and expense to me.

Can the PS3 produce graphics matching or exceeding the quality and scope of Crysis? Yes. Will it? No. Gamers have become accustomed to games that run at multiple FPS.

Uncharted 2 on a Sony 40 Bravia is as good as it gets.

PS3 Graphics > PC Graphics is a known fact. UNLESS, unless someone goes out of there way and upgrades their computer just for the sake, but as for modern day computers and laptops at this point, PS3 >.TheCoreGamer_

What? We aren't talking about some 2 bit laptop playing Crysis, we're talking about the machines people actually game on. Price is irrelevant as we know a PC costs more than $300 but then ALL of it's games are much cheaper thanthose onPS3.

Seems to me this wasn't such a silly thread. Plenty of people in here think that UC2 has better graphics than Crysis.

Artstyle is subjective people and I could claim that Mario Kart Wii is better, graphically, than UC2 if I so wished. Clearly though the technical merits of MK are far behind UC2.

Producing your desired results is simply a matter of the needed instructions being executed. Given enough time, the PS3 could get through these instructions (you never said it had to be done in real time).

I know ps3 has better graphics than PC because ps3 is the third Playstation, while PC is still stuck at pc1.

the PS3 can't do Crysis graphics but it can do more beautiful games and exciting games.....i think this goes the same for the x360.

FACT- No Console can play Crysis with the level of Resolution, AA and AF that is used by most 600$ PC's.

Heck, even a 20in Monitor has higher resolution than a PS3. (1680x1050 vs 720p upscaled anyone?)
