That is why the percentage is there. :|
The percentage would most likely drop if the number of games on the platform were to increase.
It could most likey rise as well...Â

30 of those 44 games are rated under 80%. Using mathematic rules of probability, there is therefore more of a chance that the percentage of games rated above 80% would decrease with the increasing amount of titles on the specific platform.
However, I don't see how this matters at all. We're talking about a console with 44 games vs one with 188 games. Why anyone would draw any conclusion over anything when the titles are so few, as well as when the amount of titles is highly different, is something that is beyond me.

You've obviously never taken statistics.
sorry dude, you fail
the % doesn't matter here, would u rather have 52 games rated over 80% or 14?
as simple as thatÂ

If 30:44 is 68% then 60:88 is 68% also. When did probability shows the number decreasing or increasing?Â

You've obviously never taken statistics.
Obviosuly you haven't. The stats show that if PS3 reaches 188 games it will have a better percentage of 80% rated games than the Xbox360 did. Of course this is all probablity. Â

You're absolutely right, dunno what I was thinking.
Oh well, I still believe there are too few games on PS3/too many on Xbox 360 to draw any form of interesting conclusion. Giving it a year or two would be appropiate.

Once again, you have clearly never taken statistics. The larger the sample size the more accurate the results will be, always. According to your data, PS3 has less than 1/4 the amount of games of the Xbox 360. There is no way to accurately compare the two, and the only thing one can know for certain is that the percentages will change as more games come out.
Your method would be like looking at a basketball player who's gone 1 for 2 in free throws at the start of a game, and saying that he is definitely going to finish the game and the season with a 50%Â free throw average. Well many people start off games going 1 for 2 on free throws, they only have to miss one shot afterall, but they will almost certainly finish the game and the season with a much better shooting % than .500. Unless his name is Shaquille O'Neal.

It's called Chance Error. If you roll a die six times, your 'statistics' say that you should get 3 even numbers and 3 odd numbers, but you might not. The fewer number of games the PS3 has, the more its average score (or percent of scores above 80%) will deviate from the standard curve.Â
If the PS3 lineup follows the standard curve, with 188 games there should be around 45 AA and AAA titles. I could give you the chance error, but I forgot how and my stats book is all the way across the house. ;)
