PS3 has the better graphics than xbox

I used to think that xbox had the best graphics, but now that I have a ps3 and have played uncharted drake, I can say that xbox is behind the ps3 in the graphical department. Although Gears of War holds up pretty well, its just not on the same level. Even though this is true, xbox still has the better games, and only rabid sony fanboys will claim other wise.

ive loooked at some games side by side
really depends on what tv u r playing on
but i do have to agree for the most part

I have all 3 systems and I agree with cakeballs. Well if he's talking about graphics i definately agree. But for fun both are about the same :P

Actually, lighting and shaders are far more important, especially since textures look terrible without any sort of shader effects.

Exclusives: Playstation 3 (Ex. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4)

Mulitplatform: XBOX 360 (Ex. Resident Evil 5, Assassin's Creed, Ghostbusters )

Library:

Exclusives: Playstation 3 (Ex. god Of War III, Uncharted 1 & 2, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance 1 & 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, inFamous, Little Big Planet, etc.)

Multiplat: XBOX 360 (More games, with higher quality multiplats)

Hey... I own an Xbox 360... and my fiancee owns a PlayStation 3. I must say that I've done some comparing for titles on both systems, such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bioshock, the F.E.A.R titles, Assassin's Creed and the SKATE games. I tested each system in two ways, one was with a regular Panasonic television, no HD or HDMI cords, just the three basic video and audio cables. Both systems looked fantastic, although the PS3 seemed to have a more 'muddy' look to its textures and general graphics, while the Xbox 360 seemed to have sharper images, although it didn't look as colourful. This stands true for all of the above titles. The second way was with a standard SONY HD television with all the correct High-Definition cables included. The results were remarkably the same, giving the Xbox much more crisp graphics, but with a lack of colour depth and colour-bit rates. This means that the Xbox 360 seemed to have a noticeable lack of colour changing, especially in dark games when someone fired a weapon or an explosion occured. The smoke looked odd against the black background. The PS3 had less-crisp textures, even when on an HDTV, although it gave more colours.

So it seems that the systems, to me, both have their ups-and-downs. The Xbox has more titles that are appealing to most gamers, while the PS3 has the potential of BLU-RAY quality products. The only question is, is which one do players prefer... I don't place either higher than the other, only that they both have issues of their own. This is also just my experience with the systems, so it's only an opinion based comment, here.

Except it isn't the truth. KZ2 and UC do not look WAAAAAY better than GeOW2. At best, they look marginally better.

It is not the truth to take relatively small differences and claim they are huge differences. Anyone that has both systems knows that the overall difference is marginal, with a slight edge to the PS3 exclusives. It isn't a big enough difference to make a purchasing decision either way.

Actually. Sold my 360 because the only exclusive I liked enough to play was Mass Effect..... So the quality of game is all opinions. I don't like 360's library. But I love PS3. Its just a personal preference not a biased statement.
