Considering that the announced Home online network for the PS3 is supposedly going to feature numerous advertisements, including rooms devoted specifically to certain retailers/etc (correct me on this if I'm wrong), I had a thought. If Sony is going to be gaining all this revenue by selling advertising space online, do you think that would blunt/counter the $300 loss they're making on each console, hence making it easier for them to drop the price?

I think they could afford to drop the price 50-100. If HOME has alot of advertisments like banners, billboards, accessories from brand name stuff, before a movie starts, etc. Around the holidays...would obviously be best. Price drop + tons of great games out+Home (which looks like the sims, tons of casuals love it)=major sales.
