Not to mention that after being out this long it shoudl already have come down in price, otherwise they've put too much useless crap in it.

Well, for a good 3 years there it was a dissapointment to me.
It's a great system, objective or not. Maybe if you stop being a fanboy and/or ps3 hater, you might realize it is. I have issues with all 3 consoles and PCs, but you can't go wrong with any of them. I think the 360 aims for teenage gamers, while the ps3 aims for overall value as both a game console and blu-ray player, and the Wii aims for casual gamers.The only thing disappointing about the PS3 is the hype it has, it hasn't lived up to it, otherwise it's a decent system, but a great system...:lol:

Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are fanboys. Who cares how many AAAEs and AAEs a console has if you really like it. You obviously would look at how many games interest you(specifically exclusives) before you look at how many games a site reviewed as 8 or higher. There are also a ton of fanboys who say the exact opposite, like how much better the 360, Wii, or PC is than other game systems.

Sony makes a console filled with misaligned technology that is supported by Sony itself causing a huge pricetag upon inception, developer nightmares and many other problems, ie long load times, slow ROM speed, etc. The only way to solve this problem is to throw money at talented 1st party devs, which is what they did, giving their loyal follower their long awaited bone. The console itself never had a focus on a good experience for gamers, it was just a bunch of stuff thrown together.

I do both, I do like every genere but music, and while I look for variety in games, I also look for quality, hell, I enjoy games that are in the 7 and 6 range, though I have not liked a single game that got under a 6. I really hope you meant no HDMI, because component is still HD. Also, lack of problems don't say anything about the intent of the company behind the console. MS intended the user to have a streamlined, awesome experience with online at the forefront and a consistent user experience across all games, and with the rush to get the console on the market to get a head start, they overlooked some things. I can say the same for Sony, as they overlooked a fully functional online service with the features that they had to add later, no HD without buying a separate cable, no rumble, slow load times, bad ports etc. The difference is that MS intended the user to have an awesome experience from day one, and Sony intended people to have a meh experience, but buy up their market cornering technology and win a format war, then have to wait years to justify their purchase. I still pick up a PS3 and have to stumble through aspects just play games that come so much easier on any other platform. It's just sad that this is the heir to the awesome system that was the PS2.

According to Metacritic, the PS3 has the highest review scores among the other 2 consoles. If you claim you play the top tier games, you should be on the PS3 anyway.
The 360 came out a year earlier and the PS3 came out a year ahead. It is shocking how the PS3 is real close to the 360 in terms of AAA games already. I predict PS3 will surprass the 360 in AAAE's next year.

Batman AA was not a 20 million top seller like Wii Fit. so why the hell they are making a a second one? It is cause it is about quality.
Uncharted series does not sell like HALO. why it won GOTY? Why they are surely to make Uncharted 3 then?
What about the rumored KZ 3 and Resistance 3?

My brothers 360 games such as Stranglehold and GTA 4 were ruined by the 360 scratching discs, guess what, he rebought them.

The PS3 price drop caught many off guard. They thought the thing would stay 500. Now they are like wow it is cheaper now would like to have one but I already invested too much money into other consoles.

I am going by what Metacritic claims.
metacritic never said that only ps3 owners are top tier gamers did they? that's like saying anyone who doesn't own an N64 wit a copy of zelda OOT isn't a top tier gamer, we all play games, we all feel passionately about playing games, therefore we are all top tier gamers, we prefer different consoles, but we all have one motivation,one goal, to kick the bejesus out of every game we can get our hands on, none of us is any less of a gamer than anyone else here, i was gaming before metacritic even existed, before gamespot even existed, metacritic is not the final word on who is a top tier gamer and who isn't
If I was buying a new console the PS3 is much better value atm. Indeed, I just talking a friend out of getting a 360 in favour of buying a PS3.Honestly, I think that claim is quite ridiculous. The PS3 price drop has brought it much closer to the other systems, with it being on par with the Xbox360 Elite. Also, the PS3 is just like any other system when it comes to great exclusives. Plus, the ability to play Bluray movies doesn't hurt either. All systems have their pros and cons, the PS3 is no different here.
