the PS franchise is known to have devs that make great non-shooter games and the console has alot of great non-shooter games which they promote

MS seem to promote oly shooters and the 360's best games are shooters, thats a big difference

LittleBigPlanet is a big hyped game that is exclusive to the PS3. God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII, Motorstorm 1 & 2; plenty of other good games on the console.

Shooters are just a big thing in gaming right now; I think it has a lot to do with accessibility/online/other things.

Rofl, MGS 4 is a stealth-action game, not a straight-up shooter. And GTA4 is a multiplatform game meaning it appears on both consoles. When people say the Xbox 360 is a shooter console, it means the majority of exclusives are shooters.

But I would say that if you're a fan of many genres, 360 is great for you. It has a plentiful supply in all the major categories - racers, RPGs, action/adventure, strategy, family, fighters, platformer (coming soon anyway), sports... all this in addition to shooters.

It just amazes me how fanboys can simply disregard this fact, and the really irrational justifications they use to not count them in the 360's library, when they go on their rants that it's just a "shooter console".
