PS3 is a Shooter Console (READ before voting in Poll)

Well first of all, I love shooters. I used to not really like them alot at all. Gears of War kinda got me back into the "shooter" genre and Resistance Fall of Man got me back into the "FPS" genre. I didnt like FPS much before this generation...

Anyway, back to topic, I can see how you say that. Of course there are alternative games on the PS3 that arent shooters, but alot of the big games are shooters.

I completely agree with your point. All consoles most of all the PC receive some doubfounded criticism put into them, but this is one criticism that I think is undeserved towards the 360 in comparison to the competition in the console deparment.

When all is said and done the 360 still maintains the most varied, if not overall wide number of games in any given genre on any console this gen. That is something that could be easily stated as fact with patience and a list of games right alongside it.

The only games that matter on that platform, it's most hyped which will sell and score well, are Resistance 2, KillZone 2. Even MGS4 and GTA 4 which are loaded with guns are just shooters. It's best multiplat games are RainbowSix Vegas, Orange Box, COD 4, GRAW 2, and UT3. Hell, what is the game PS3 fans want most? Bioshock, of course!! I mean how can anybody NOT see that PS3 is just a shooter console?

You have FF13 holding down the RPG front. No decent or proven platformers. Sports are across the board equal. GT5 takes racing. GOW3 will cover the adventure.

The problem the PS3 has is that the 360 either has the same good shooters as multiplats (or better ones like Halo and Gears), or comparable games in the genres mentioned above. The only two games that the PS3 has over the 360 are MGS4 and FF13 (three if you're not old enough to drive, then you have GT5).

Ok, show me one game were the FPS is perfected on 360, go ahead, I'll give you all the time in the world. More does not equal better, although at the moment, 360 does have better rpgs. Far from on lock though. From what I know, 360 has 2 racers that Ps3 doesn't, and Ps3 has GT. So again, you fail again. Don't try again for our sake please.

Nor DOA 4, VF 5, Forza 2, PGR 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Lost Odyssey, and so many more. The asenine thing is how they try to rationalize why those non shooters don't count;

* they're not as popular as the shooters (how they rate among players is entirely subjective)
* they don't sell as much (but the point is they DO sell and ARE available on the 360 to play)
* they're not AAA (I don't even KNOW where to begin with this one)

Most of the PS3 exclusives arent shooters anyways.
