PS3 is actually the shooter console...

Sure it may not have a robust online but games like Socom, R1/R2, KZ2, Haze, MAG, MGO, and the multi-plats makes PS3 the shooter exclusive platform unlike the 360. So why do people who suggests a FPS platform always suggests the 360?

1 = halo 3, 'nuff said.

2 = 360 has a better controller design for shooters.

It definitely is a shooter console, but the shooters, while good, don't quite stack up to the competition. Almost, though.

So how is the online not robust when 4/5 of the games you listed have dedicated servers. Yes its definitely a shooter console.

I beat Halo 3. Played the online. Then went back to cod4. Halo 3 is the most overrated game of all time. People have been duped by the Microsoft hype machine.

I'd give the slight edge to the 360 because of it's controller, but beyond that...most of the shooters I have are multiplat, so controls is all I care about.

I'm not bragging about a game's sales.

The OP asked why is the360 considered the shooter console when the ps3 has more shooting games.

And a little deeper meaning to my post was, if you compare all of the ps3 games sales and those two games, then you would see that the sales are near similar to each other and why the 360 is considered the shooter console.

Er, no, Halo 3 is THE Most played online game, it is still very relevant. COD is its closest competition, but Halo still dominates the 360.

Haze?! Anyway it's because of Halo 3 that some label the 360 as the shooter console. H 3 is my favourite shooter of this gen but overall I think the PS3 is better for shooters. If that makes sense.Floppy_Jim

Nope, I'm using Gamespot's score and the online popularity of exclusive console FPS's, not my opinion. 9.5 > every PS3 exclusive FPS. And the online > every other exclusive console FPS. It shows in how many matches have been played. You're the one using your own opinion and nothing more. I have the score (which dictates in SW's) and the online popularity.
