Someone seems to forget that the 360 came a year earlier...SolidGame_basicWhy does this matter? The PS3 started development around the same time the 360 did. It's sony's fault they took so long to get the dev kits out there, and delayed the hardware release for almost a year. It's their fault that the cell is a hard nut to crack. Granted its also MS fault that RROD still plagues us two and a half years into the 360's lifecycle, but I digress.
As a gamer you look at what each platform offers to you at the time when making a purchase decision. If it doesn't offer me enough to warrant the purchase than I won't buy it. It doesn not matter how long the platform has been out, its not going to be worth it until the platform offers a certain degree of library quality. The PS3 has not reached that degree of quality for me. If the PS3 had a better library right now, no one would be making the "but it came out a year later" excuse.
