Remember when all 3 companies released their info last month, and NPD ended up being extremely wrong about the PS3? Pretty sure they were off on 360 and Wii numbers as well.

Meh, the 360 beat the PS3 in NA is almost as boring as how the PS3 beat the 360 in Japan. It's really not exciting anymore IMO, I'd be more interested if the 360 can ever catch up to the Wii in NA

More interested in 3DS sales. I'm thinking 300k for November, maybe 350k. I don't think its going to be earth shattering numbers for the 3DS in North America in November, but I think it will be a step up from its usual 250k per month, Mario 3D Land and Black Friday will definantly push sales. Nintendo said the 3DS passed the 2.37 million the DS sold in its first year, and the 3DS was sitting at 1.8 million in NA I believe pre-november so it may have moved even more than we think.

I'm more interested in the reaction in SW when the Vita starts posting early 3DS-like numbers in March, April, May, June 2012 in NPD. When the Vita starts selling 80k-150k per month in NPD after launch. I'm calling it. Probably 300k-400k in Feb 2012 for the Vita, and then a sharp decline for the next few months. Question is, when that happens, is there anything Sony can do about it if consumers don't respond to Uncharted, LBP, Wipeout at launch and the price point? Its not like Sony can sell it cheaper, its already at a massive loss.

NPD gives insight on the biggest market in the world. They are not just guessing like vgchartz so I would not put them in the same sentence. Although I agree some lems gloat about NPD as if the ps3 has not been catching up every year. But cows will be celebrating a shallow victory when ps3 passes 360 bc MS has already won this battle with Sony. I bet most lems would not have anticipated the 360 would still be leading the ps3 by the end of 2011.
