I thought it was already established that the PS3 is the George Foreman [grill] of this generation.KingOfKonging

You win the quote of the day award, my friend.

i have to say fantastic thread TC, i love these kind of cool threads. btw Ali achieved more than anyone in this thread, whos sitting on their office chair taking jabs at him. oh and please stop complaining that he didnt fight the war in Nam as maybe he wasnt as patriotic as others, everyone should know why,and didnt want to fight a frankly pointless war in his view.

What all you lems are forgetting is that you sound just like everyone else did that night, in the middle of the fight. They all thought Ali was finished. They all thought he couldn't come back. Anyone suggesting so would have been seriously questioned. But what happened? He came back. He won.

So, prove the TC right. You speak as though the fight is over. As if you had a bet on it and you're having a hard time thinking it won't go your way. But we're in round one of a 7 round fight, or whatever. You have little clue on what will take place.

If its possible for any console maker to come back, its PS.

[QUOTE="neogeo419"][QUOTE="Big_Gamer_Al"]Muhammad Ali should be in prison for dodging Nam, what makes him more special than the 50,000 that died?Big_Gamer_Al

That is my beef with him also.

Fools.

He skipped 'Nam so that Fight Night would be available for us.

Him and OJ are two scum bags that should be behind bars, if it was any of us that did what they did we would be behind bars or dead.

so when's bush doing time? :D

Exactly. The PS "brand" has been reduced to a complete and total joke. It's only purpose now is for us to laugh at.

Thank you, and yeah Nam IMO was very unnecessary.

Like you said TC its only 2 years in so there is still no way know if it will win or not. So far they have pulled off 1 AAAE and poor sales. Copared to amazing Wii sales and 2 possibly 3 AAAEs. The 360 has also had at least 3 AAAEs and fairly good sales.meetroid8

The Wii and 360 are great, there's little argueing about that from me. However, I feel too many are underestimating Playstation. In the end... it's not Sony's claim to fame, what they said, how they act, etc...it's about delivering the final product to the consumer. Every company so far has done a tremendous job.

I guess the main point I try to make is that Nintendo and MS needs to realise they can't just sit back and claim victory. Obviously they won't, and the fans shouldn't neither. There are ways all of them can surge ahead. So with the Wii for example being on top, needs to capitolize on the moment and push harder. Here, I'm giving them all the credit as due. 360 I feel needs a drastic change. Sure their doing great, but not enough insurance considering their one year lead. They NEED further support from all regions, and not just shell out dough for established franchises. While this works, it's no garantee.

The one garantee is see on the horizon is Playstation's greatest hits on the PS3. Sony has come to far to just drop out. It's either do or die. I suppose it's as risky as the Wii, when you think about it. In this regard I believe they will both be huge successes in the video game industry, if the coin lands on the right side. Already has for the Wii, now it's Sony's turn. If X360 fixes the hardware issues and gains further interest among nonnative regions it may stand a chance. I predict 360 will be the hardest to pull out of the mud when the going gets tough.

Let me put things into perspective for the lemmings and sheep...

Muhammad Ali was the greatest, as in PSX and PS2. But we all know that he hit some bumps in the road. By this I mean refusing to be inducted into the armed services, stripped of his championship title, and losing the 'fight of the century' against Joe Frazier.

PS3 is currently losing it's ground. But considering it launched a year after X360 and went up against a much cheaper console, it's not doing that bad. Plus, with very limited Playstation franchises and exclusives, not bad at all. But Sony can't dance with the competition at the current pace forever...much like Ali knowing he couldn't dance with Foreman through the whole fight to put him back on the spot.

Ali invented 'The Rope-A-Dope' strategy that allowed Foreman to pound on him until Foreman tired. In the eight round, Ali came off the ropes and scored a shocking knockout! Ali was the king again. Sony has many tricks up it's sleeve. By this I mean powerhouse titles that simply can't be ignored by the gaming community. It's not a matter of if, but when, Sony will deliver the TKO. This gen is only 2 years underway, with possibly over 100 million gamer still on the fence.

Ali as you know had the biggest mouth of them all. If Ali were a video game console, he'd definately claim 1080p @ 120fps, dual hdmi and 4d graphics. But what mattered in the end? He delivered. Simple as that.

All hail the greatest console of this gen...

ps3

and all hail the greatest of all time!

ali

ali

oldskooler79

you mean the ali today who can't remember what he's doing. sorry that sounds harsh... ali was awesome... not anymore...

Don't you compare "The greatest" to a failing console , damn you :x

You wanna compare ? , than this is more closer to the truth :

Still a newcomer young Cassius 360 took on the old and unbeatable thought champion , the ugly bear Sony Liston and what nobody thought would be possible happened , he took Sony Listons crown with ease .

The 360 dances like a butterfly and stings like a bee !
