Basically, if you align the launches of each new console, PS3 and X360 track identical. Wii is far and above them both however.

Of course if you want to just look at North America sales it will look completely different. That was my point.....if you look at worldwide sales PS3 is selling exactly the same as X360 did in its first year. X360 didn't take off until the 4th qtr....which is coming up for the PS3.

oh yeah ps3 is just barely competiting with M$ and after the fall its gonna be all over. If MS last till 2008 then they will be barely hanging on.

Its gonna take more than a $50 price drop to sell those xbox 360. M$ would of been smart to have said a $100 price drop but even that wouldn't have been enough. Its going to take a $100 price drop and free online play. M$ just can't hang with sony.

By the M$, Sony is wooping your @** with a console that cost $150 more in the near future and not too mention we don't have any games.

You cant use the argument of games, because thats going to be based heavily on opinion. YOUR opinion might be that the PS3 has better games, but my opinion is that the 360 has more games that are better for my preferences. And while that seems to be the opinion of the majority, that argument will not be won by either of us, because its doubtful our opinions will be swayed. Therefore, the only real argument you have to stand on is numbers, and it just doesnt add up.
