[QUOTE="-Spock-"][QUOTE="LoserMike"][QUOTE="Mass_Effect"][QUOTE="-Spock-"]120 FPS is impossible on PS3, not to mention useless. Krudus
Well not really. Couldn't a game with really crappy graphics run at 120fps quite easily?
[QUOTE="AzelKosMos"][QUOTE="console_fanboy"]Sony promised us a lot of things. One of them is Dual 1080p at 120fps.
Now the reality is that most games run on 720 with 20fps, and when theres is a lot happening at once it will get even lower to 10-15fps.
Now once the developers find the hidden power of the cell, do u cows think it would be possible to have dual 1080p at 120fps? Or was it all a BIG lie?
console_fanboy
I haven't heard anything about that. Got any proof? link or anything?
its common knowlegde, its has been all over the internet. Where have u been?Sony promised us a lot of things. One of them is Dual 1080p at 120fps.lol, I remember when they said it and the media ran with it like mopes, instead of questioning it. They made the 360 out to be some inferior system and that it would be half as powerful. As we all know, it has turned out alot different than that day Sony was touting dual 1080p support with 120 fps. LOL.

120 FPS is impossible on PS3, not to mention useless. Apparently the eye cannot see more than 60 FPS, and journalists who watched footage at that speed had motion sickness, so it's hardly practical unless you are a raving bulimia sufferer. I do think dual 1080p could be possible though, as most PCs are able to output to two screens. PC gaming has been HD for years now, so it's not an impossible feat.-Spock-I disagree with 120 FPS is useless. Do you know how improtant frame rates are to Fighting games. If they get, let's say, 90FPS than when a fighter goes online we don't have to worry about the frame droping below 30FPS ( the standard for all fighting games).
dual 1080p at 120fps was of course just a lie, there is no 'hidden power' to the cell, it may be powerful, but it doesnt seem to be able to put up with 2nd-gen 360 games for now.alia999They took dual 1080p out for the reason most didn't have the use for it. Waste of money. Anything can run at 120 FPS, but you'll be sacarficing a lot of other content to the game like graphics, texture, stuff like that.
[QUOTE="LoserMike"]It'll take them 5+years. The power of the PS2 wasn't finally fully exploited until God of War (for the longest time the best graphics was MGS2). Remember when the PS2 was first announed with those awesome tech demos, PS2 games have finally reached that level of quality that was promised in 1999. We'll finally see PS3 games that look as good as the Killzone tech demo in 2011. That's the problem with making such a highly powered but complex game machine.Illumination77

because they promised dual HDMI smartass. Even promised 7 controllers support and loads of other things.[QUOTE="console_fanboy"][QUOTE="AzelKosMos"][QUOTE="console_fanboy"]Sony promised us a lot of things. One of them is Dual 1080p at 120fps.

Seriously, I don't come in system wars often and haven't been paying all that to the Ps3.
i think the tc was just being a fanboy most games run at 30-60fps at 720p/1080p(ridge racer ,gt-hd, marvel ultmate alliance are an examples of 1080p @ 60fps)with some games like call of duty dropping sometimes.. really thoug the only games that preformed poorly where CoD and tony hawk
ps3 will never output 2x1920x1080p at 60fps.
Proof: RSX is 7800gtx @500mhz.
Sli 8800GTX cannot run oblivion at 60fps constant at 2560x1600 (less than 1% smaller screen size)
Thus how can a £400 be more powerful than £800 graphic system considering nVidia designed both?
Aint possible now, wont be possible in 2012.
