Wait--why would a new buyer really care about that this late in the generation? That's like thinking about buying a PS2 back in late 2005 and then going, derp, no point in buying a PS2 now because future support looks like it's dwindling.[QUOTE="XVision84"]
I see no reason why anyone would buy a 360 at this point, PC gamer or not, not only are you going to pay for online but you're not going to have any great games to look forward to other than the usual Halo/Gears/Forza game. Microsoft clearly isn't showing any core support. On the other hand, there are a whole slew of PS3 exclusives coming out, and new multiplats are very enjoyable on both systems. Not only that, but PS Plus is a much better deal than XBL.
Unless all of your friends have Xbox 360's, but that's a different story.

I am not taking up for his argument, but I feel I need to point out that xbox360 and PS3 wish they could walk half a mile in PS2's shoes (i know you probably don't feel that way as you have experessed vocally that you hate JRPGs) so that comparison is off the mark.
PS2 has an amazing generation with around 10 AAAE games the first year in the U.S. launch...it continued to have great AAAE games the all generation long.
In the last 2 or 3 years PS3 and 360 have JUST now begun to get games the level that should be regarded great, in a generation were great games have been too far and inbetween. Between PS3 and 360 the truely great titles that most people would agree on this gen would most like not exceed 20 games...PS2 got about half of that amount in 1 year.
just saying, wanting games comming out now for these consoles is more important that a system like PS2 that had great games thruough out the generation.
