PS3 or XBOX360: Which should I get ( PLZ NO SPASMING)

Hello,

First thing, I want to clear that plz dont comment if ur going to say things like "PS3 SUCKS" or "KINECT IS A EYE TOY COPY." Lets keep this clean, cuz both systems are awesome.

I personally own a 360 which i bought in 2008 when 360 was better. But now the titles for the PS3 , like Infamous and Uncharted, are surpassing those of the 360 and the 360 is falling into a dark age. Now, im a huge fan of Adventure games, like Uncharted and Assassins Creed, and I love open-world games, like Infamous, RDR, and shooters, like Alan Wake, Mass Effect, etc. And I am more of a casual gamer who plays for fun, not a hardcore gamer. So I basically have 5 questions for u guys:

1. What exclusives do the 360 and the PS3 have?

2. Which system is better for Adventure, open-world, and shooting games?

3. Which system (in your opinions) should I get?

4. Do you need to buy a Wi-Fi adapter separately for the PS3?

5. WTH is wrong with Capitalism, why is money so important, why is profit everything, does customer satisfaction mean a thing? (optional)

You should get a (.......) because the (........) isnt as good. The (.......) has better games than the (.......) as well. So, just go with the (.......)

get a Playstation 3... i think its better

I just got a 360 and i am highly dissapointed.The console has no new exclusives lined up for 2011.

PS3 is a far better choice bec of great lineup and free online.

However if you dont have a gaming PC then i suggest getting a new PC bec PC game line up for 2011 is simply awesome.

I'm lucky enough to have both and I'd go for the PS3 if I had to choose between them. Pretty much everything that looks good in the year ahead is either multiplatform or coming out on the PS3 (uncharted, last guardian, Little Big Planet 2). Xbox has probably got the edge on the back catalogue though. If you get a PS3 you'll be missing out on gears of war 3 and any future halo games though.

When I was a kid I had a Megadrive and a friend of mine had a SNES. Every few months we'd swap consoles for a week or two and then go back to our old systems. Get a PS3 and start sucking up to someone with an Xbox in time for gears of war 3.

1. Not enough time, but both have plenty. Remember, when comparing the PS3 to the 360, include 360/PC multiplats such as Mass Effect in the 360s lineup, unless you have a good gaming rig.

2. Not sure about Adventure games, but most open world games tend to be multiplat & the 360 is better for shooters.

3. Can't say, I love them both dearly.

4. Not sure, I just hooked a cable up to mine.

5. Customer Satisfaction is important in a capitalist society as it increases customer retention & thus improves/sustains profits. There is a lot wrong with Capitalism, but history shows it sure beats Communism.

Edit: Oh, Action Adventure. I think most are multiplat except for the few amazing ones such as UC2 & GoW III, so I'd give that genre to the PS3.

If you already own an Xbox360 why you asking which system to get? Just get a PS3.

1) As far as exclusives go just do a search on here for the 2011 exclusives. There are tons of threads about what's coming up.

1a) The PS3 has a good list of exclusives, somewill probably never see a 2011 release though. The Xbox doesn't have much this year (at least not announced yet) other than Kinect titles. Of course most gamers don't only play exclusives.

2) Both systems are about the same for Adventure, Open world games, and shooting games. The only real difference is the exclusives.

3) If you already have a 360, just buy a PS3 and have the best of both worlds.

4) You don't need to buy a Wi-fi adapter for either the Xbox or the PS3 as long as you buy a new version of the systems.

5) Capitalism by it's very principle is all about greed. He who has the most toys wins. Everything is about profit, Of course the same goes for Socialism in reality.

Technically, when you guys tell me, I read what you guys wrote (which is really helpful so far BTW) and am doing rersearch on the topic, and you guys don't ruin the forums with spasms. its like in school when you ask your teacher something did he/she ever say "go do the research yourself stupid kid." He may leave the stupid kid part out. So basically im asking you guys about your personal experiences with each system, even your vibes when u were unboxing it

I know, I was so dissapointed to find that there are no new exclusives for 2011, what is Microsoft doing, they dont give the gaming industry as big of an emphasis. Sony's lineup for 2011 is pretty impressive though

The 360 is the only place you'll be able to play the mass effect trillogy in full on a console. that would be huge for me... espicially since I can pick both ME1 and 2 up for 30 bucks combined at the moment. Also, I gotta be honest... PSN isnt XBL no matter how much people on this forum try to convince you otherwise. XBL is the place to be for online gaming bar none.

You are probably right, I should get a PS3 but I was sorta thinking about switching my 360 for a PS3 but i'll have to do more "research"

spend a few bucks upgrade your pc and tough it out until the next console comes out which should be fall/winter 2012.

if you have waited this long i would just start socking away change and having a next gen fund ready.

honestly, you need to look at each system's line up of games and form your own opinion. you're not going to really get an objective answer on system wars. either way, both systems are very comparable, and I doubt you'll be dissapointed with either.

I have both for some time now. If I had to give up one I would give up the 360 because i enjoy the PS3 more. With the exclusives line up being released this year it will be a fun year. that's just my opinion
