The thing you need to ask yourself is how many of those people already own a 360? I mean outselling means nothing, the 360 has been out much longer than than PS3.
I personally hate this sales bullcrap but how many 360's have been sold overall vs PS3's overall?

Well there ya go then. 360 still wins in the world of sales matter.
What I find is funny is how cows try to pine over sales so much, when the PS3 is still in third and barely catching up. It would be like John McCain celebrating just because he won the state of Texas and acting;ike he won the election...AlphaGamer469
Failed analogy. Everyones seen that video right? The one with the motorbike the jet and the car? How the bike zips off real fast but ends up losing? The 360 is the motorbike. It will lose.

How so, you make sound like MS doesnt leave Europe out of the Netflix deal, or that Nintendo didnt make you guys wait extra long for SSBB. Face it, Europe gets thes shaft from all the companies.

We were made to wait 6 months longer for the console, were not given the 20Gb option, backwards compatabilty was removed in favour of emulation int he process, a cost of nearly $900 at launch, the PSN store is virtually barren compared to its US or Japanese counterparts, forced to wait months for the arrival of the Dualshock 3 despite its release in the US... even Australia got them before we did.
Netflix I don't think bothers anyone too much, most 360 owners bought the machine for a games console rather than something to watch films on as happened elsewhere, Nintendo... don't know anyone who's bothered to use theirs after the first couple of weeks so no big deal there either.
the 360 outselling the PS3 for 2-3 munths since the pricecutNisim19
In Japan? It was outselling it but PS3 sales charts went up 900% 36,000 > 6,400

When the PS2 launched both NA and Europe had to wait a long time, NA 9 months Europe even longer. Europe has a long history of getting consoles later. The 20GB option lasted for only a short time in NA as well and you guys did have BC through emulation, it wasnt taken out till later. As for price once again Europe has always had to pay more for its systems and games. As for PSN store, you can make a NA or japanese account and remedy that problem, unlike on the 360 where you have alot less stuff then NA and you just have to bite it. And NA had to wait for months to get the Dualshock 3 from Japan.
Once again the problems you complain about are paying more and waiting longer have ALWAYS been the issue with gaming in Europe. Other companies do the same thing.
Good for sony? Why do you people care so much about sales?Al3x_n90
Could it be because it has an effect on developers, urging them to produce more games for the successful console in question, thus allowing for a greater chance of gamers getting great games?
Then again, why should gamers care about great games, hm? :|

yep but heres the thing
Most people can AFFORD a bike, and a car...not so much a jet.

Isn't that a big enough problem? Waiting AND PAYING MORE? And what if other companies do the same? It is still not ok. Just because everyone does it, doesn't mean it's ok.Europe is an important market but we still get treated like crap. This Needs to end!

Yeah...well...if you put it that way :P
So far i know: around 17 mil ps3s
22 mil 360s
I think last year it was like what? 15 mil ps3s and 20 mil 360, that means they both sold about 2 mil units :) , still the 360 has that 1 year lead, the ps3 has been out for 2 years, it's 2 years this week or last week? whatever...

Not impressed.
PS3 is the successor to the 140 million unit PS2 that dominated over 60% of the market. Barely scrapping by with a few units past its competitor it so easily defeated in the last round is not something to brag about. Personally cows should just give up on the sales game, its embarrassing.

maybe if one was 30 mil in-front of the other...
almost every game for 360 is on ps3 and vice versa. 360 and ps3 are never going to be light years apart so arguing over this is stupid and pointless
Wasn't there recently a thread asking whether sales matter or not that is filled with ps3 supporters agreeing to the latter?Guess circumstances changed then
Still not as bad as the Xbots of America.Well EU is just blind PS fanboys so this was expected.

Its shocking isn't it... although the level of support that Sony have had this time is nowhere near as strong as before, last generation Sony and the PS2 squashed everything that was put in its way, this time its miles behind the Wii and barely beating the 360 which, even with the hardware failure rate, is putting up a decent fight.

The fight they will be putting up this holiday season will be even more decent because of the price reduction.
I saw a Gears add during the football game on Sunday night. At the end of the comercial, they quickly flashed a picture of a 360 and "Now only $199". When they find out that the PS3 is twice as much...and that only the 360 has that Gears game they saw in a comercial during the football game..lol, game over for Sony.

this is nintendo BS
the X360 still have larger user base in europe (1M more then the PS3)
and the last 3 munth the 360 sale more then the PS3 in europe so how the PS3 outsold the 360 now?
Nisim19
..... ps3 is ahead of the xbox 360 now... when they release their Q 4 reports for europe ps3 was at 6.5 and xbox 360 was at 6.1... now that the ps3 outsold the xbox 360 even more in europe it is clearly ahead... even with facts and sales numbers you still deny the xbox 360 is losing unbelievable but not suprising.
Wrong. The PS3's userbase exceeded the Xbox 360's userbase back in April. And the PS3 has been outselling it since day 1.the X360 still have larger user base in europe (1M more then the PS3)
and the last 3 munth the 360 sale more then the PS3 in europe so how the PS3 outsold the 360 now?

The fact that the Wii is selling well means nothing has of right now for what support the Wii will get from 3rd party games. For a good game to be made it takes 2 to 3 years. No one can really expected the Wii to be anywhere near has succesful has it has been. Heck one of the things that were used when laughting at PS3 fans was the fact that the Wii would be so much easier to get at launch out because Nintendo was making so many consoles. There were so many who though you would just be able to walk in and get one with no line.
Well now that the Wii has surpast it's expecations you will not see the result of this until mid to late next year.

I hate to say this but the Wii is a different method of gaming and it wont get the awesome multiplats or great 3rd party support next year or the year after.
The Wii has been out long enough and look at this holiday season, it is a massive disappointment in the games department. As long as it has great sales.......
