[QUOTE="Jbul"] Owning the PS3 is frustrating. Being a PS3 owner since September, I honestly haven't played a game on the machine in months. Not since I beat Uncharted, to be honest. True, I occasionally dust it off to use it as a upscaling DVD player, or even more rarely for it's Blu-Ray functionality, but other than that, I keep thinking of ways to make it useful.
And now here comes GTA4. I considered, I'm almost ashamed to admit, buying this game for the PS3 (I also own an Xbox 360, Wii, etc). Until I realized I was only doing this as an EXCUSE to play my PS3! Why would I get the PS3 version when I could purchase the Xbox 360 version and get 10+ hours of DLC in a few months, achievements, and a controller that already has rumble? Because I, like most PS3 owners (I assume) want an excuse to use my machine. Yikes! This makes me realize just how far behind Sony has been this generation, and the poor business decisions they've made thus far.
Don't get me wrong, I know MGS4 will rule, and eventually my PS3 will be in heavy rotation... but for now, I'm stuck with trying to justify the purchase.... and failing.
There's GOT to be some other PS3 owners out there who feel this way, and are willing to admit it.
June can't come soon enough..

You own all three systems and you are suprised that one gets used less then others. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that the 360/PS3 share the same games so ONE console is gonna be mainly used for JUST exclusives while the other will be used for MULTIPLATS and exclusives.
Now you wanna talk about "excuses", tell me this do you buy all your multiplats on the 360 to JUSTIFY your 50 dollar online subsciption with Live? And dont give me the whole, "360 is superior in multiplats" because thats been proven false, there are some games that are better on the 360 but there are just as many that are just as good or better on the PS3 and you dont have to pay for online.
In the end you were the foolish one. My poor PS3 gets no rest.
I am not sure why anyone needs to justify 49.99 for 13 months of online play, we are talking about $3.85 a month, so I think the people spending 69.99 on a new release solely to justify spending 2 dollars less a month then I spent on this mornings Grande Vanilla Latte may exist only in the minds of System Wars posters.
Its not even about minor graphical advantages that the PS3 version may have, or the 360 version may have when it comes to a multiplatform game, because honestly playing COD4 on both PS3 and 360 on the same TV in HD I am hardpressed to tell during my standard gameplay, and I don't have the time to pause it at the same location to count the amount of cracks on a wall to determine which one renders better.
I buy the 360 version of Multiplatforms because I like Live Better,
I use the cross game chat feature nearly everytime I am online, I use the cross game invite feature at least five or six times a week, and I like being able to see which friends are online, which game they are playing and being able to swap discs and join one of their games.
As I said earlier, I have no problem with PSN but considering I have the option and I have both I will opt for the one with more features that I use,
And not because its costing me a Big Mac every month,
