ps3 PSN users= 14 million? think again, it's around 7 million MAX

when sony announced that there were 14 million registered PN users, they totally forgot to mention that it wasn't just ps3 PSN accounts but it also combines it with psp users.

therefore, PS3+ PSP = 14million

there are over 40 millions sold through out the world (PSP) and i wonder how many are strickly for psp

by your logic, there are far less than 7 million ps3 that us PSN since they didn't discount multi accounts in 1 system

Everytime I play a game on the PSN it is dead. Call of Duty has some players (duh) but other than that, a ghost town.

Seriously, after playing on the PSN I begged Microsoft to make me pay $50 a year for their excellent, unsurpassed, immersive online system.

14 million registered PN users is exactly that. nothing more, nothing less.

You cant tell how many are strictly PS3 or PSP. You cant tell how many are additional accounts on the same device. You cant tell how many are one person with multiple accounts.

The same goes for other consoles.

I, for one, have both and use the same PSNID. That, in it's self, punches a hole in your logic, sorry.

The question is not how many PSN users are there, but the real question is how many PSN users created an account to actively play online?

Thats nearly 20 downloads per username. I've downloaded like 80 things but I also have more game on my system than that ratio (What is it, like 6 games a platform) so really you need to sit down and think what are people buying. I set up my PSP account under my PS3 user name. haven't played it since honestly. just haven't felt the need. So honestly, how many people do you really think took their PSP's and subscribed within the last month.

Also on that whole "multiple accounts" thing I have 1 for me and one for my brother. we both use and play them. Why should only MINE count. Thats not democratic! commie!
