Personally the wand is gonna be better because of its accuracy and because there are buttons.

I am more excited for the wand, but I think Natal has a greater opportunity to amaze me.

I'm more excted for the ball-on-a-stick. Though I think natal will be a bigger commercial success.

Still, I think neither will have many games.

I don't find either of them appealing at all.

They're both awful ideas, in my opinion; but I found that the Milo demo was quite creepy, and I'm not a fan of flailing my arms like a loon; so I'd say the Sony thing is slightly better.

Hopefully they both end up being good. I hope Natal doesn't end up like the Eye Toy, which almost never worked.

And I don't think many developers will make games for them.

The thing is about the Wii is that the Wii Remote IS the universal controller. It's not some add-on periphal. The Eye Toy won't stick, and I am hesitant to believe that these will be around for long. A lot of my friends have already said that they won't buy Project Natal. If developers made a game focused around that technology, they would be limiting the audience. We'll have to wait and see how Sony and Microsoft plays their cards, I guess.

Both are just attempts to appeal to casual gamers. They will both help lead to the eventual downfall of hardcore gaming.

For once I agree with you :P. It's harder to sell something if they don't need it to play the main chunk of the games. Doesn't help that if people own a Wii are probably not looking for another full console motion experience

i say they should make the wand exactly the wimote and price it cheaper than the wii so you'll be getting a wii ps3 combo for a lower price of an actual wii. i mean that's all the wii has over the 360 or ps3 motion sensing remote that works.

That's actually the problem I have with it.. my only friend with a PS3 moved so no wand try-out, and none of my friends with a 360 have even given natal a passing glance:P

Same here, I would prefer the PS3's default controller, the SIXAXIS and DUALSHOCK 3. But if the Wand turns out to be awesome, I would get it.

Wii Motion Plus is just as Accurate as Sony's Wand. That is why I would choose the Wand because since Wii Motion Plus has the same result as The Wand I can actually see it working it games. Natal I can see it working for some games but not all Genres, mainly Genres that Wii Motion Plus and the Wand would excel at.

But I'm just guessing with Natal I'm still stumped with it.

If I had to pick it would be Sony's Wand. Gaming without a controller just seems retarded to me. Hell, I just hate this whole motion controller craze in general, and I hate Nintendo with a passion for creating it.

Xbox controller can add button functionality but not accuracy. You need a special controller like the PS3 wand for that.

But with the 360 controller BOTH hands are then tied to that one controller. Which then makes NATAL completely useless...

natal has me more interested because i dont know what devs are going to make of it. im sure sonys wand will be very good at what it does.....but its a wiimote and we already have one of those. it works a bit differently but the end result is the same. the only reason sony took a different approach was becaue if they copied the wiimote tech then ninty would haul them into court. so i think we already have a good idea about what we can expect devs to do with that. personally i will be picking up both at some stage. natal is a day one purchase for me. i bought the wii on day one as i thought it was a great idea (and still do) and i will be buying natal for the same reason. the wand.....i will pick up when theres enough games that interest me that use it. i would love to play games like uncharted 2 with the wand.

With Sony's crappy marketing, I think it's doomed to fail. The wand just doesn't look like it'll have appeal to a huge demographic. If the Xbox 360+ is a real SKU, I think Natal will be a pretty big success.

meh I already have a wii and an eye toy, and natal looks more of an eye toy 2.0 compared to the "ps3 wand" which is more of a wii mote 1.1 with a lightbulb on top

To me, controls are such a small part to a great game. Maybe exceptions come in such games as sports games, but great controls can't make a bad game good

It is not fair at this point to compare between both systems. PS3's had a very detailed show about the uses and accuracy of the wand. MS on the other hand showed very little about natal. E3 showed very little of it, and their commercials showed expectations and future milestones. we still don't have a good picture on how accurate it is, or what kind of games it will be used for. Both systems look appealing, but, imo, you can only judge PS3's wand, MS didn't show us the full potential of Natal yet. I'd rather reserve my judgement and wait to see the finished Natal project.

i'm personally more excited about Natal, as it is something different. Sony's ripoff wand fails to impress me. I think Natal will definitely have some challenges ahead of it in making it work right, but i'd like to see how it turns out.

natal does seem to be more origonal however i won't trust it until i play it for myself cause nintendo touted accurate motion controls when the wii launched when in fact it was just the waggle. the PS3 motion controller however looks solid already and looks to be in great hand considering the vast ammount of studio's sony owns that most likely was already given access to it before it was unveiled (MLB 10 with a wand?). plus at e3 sony showed game based tech demos showing things like batting, sword stuff, and gun aiming so i know hardcore game devs will be able to put it to go use. natal might be better but right now i see the success to fail ratio as 50:50

A couple of things I think PS-Wand will have over Natal: 1. Controller in-hand (whish leads to everything else) 2. Greater accuracy 3. Ability to use on "everyday" games. (I think it is very possible)

Ball on stic for me. Not that I expect it to be as big as Natal. Granted I don't really care for either, when I eventually get a PS3 or 360 I'll just use a regular controller.

I'm going to be honest, my sister has a Wii and i feel retarded standing their and waving my arms around...I haven't really seen the "Wand" in action but as i stated..not really a fan of waving my arms...and Natal just looks like something that would appeal to the little kids on Halo 3 n COD4, although some of the features are cool. In my opinion i think Natal might be more successful only because people may like the fact that there is no controller or "Wand". I really don't have high expectations for either one, the reason being, no remote on Natal means lots of issues with motion detection and who's honestly going to buy a "Wand"...seriously..imagine a grown man saying to his friend "Lets go play with my Wand"...awkward..Wii is the premier motion controlled waving your arms around looking ridiculous console, i don't understand why Microsoft and Sony want to try and out-do Nintendo in that department. If i want to exercise I'll go on a treadmill..casual gamers would want games with superior graphics and great story lines i would think, I'm certainly not what you would consider a hardcore gamer but things like this really don't appeal to me...

The wand is going directly against the Wii whereas Natal is something quite different. For that reason Natal. I also dont think that the wand wont be as successful for that reason.
