Indeed. Sure, it's great, but I hope cows won't embaress themselves saying it's someting cool :|
Am I the only PS3 owner that is very very very very very pissed right now.
If they do release the shock controller will us shockless people be able to ship our controller for a replacement or will we have to purchase another one??????
I really can't take much more of Sony crap BS.
We get really bad ports, blame on devs all you want but I dont think every dev on the planet sits around and says lets be lazy with PS3.
Then our exclusive games really really really really suck.
Lair got what a 4.5 here.....should of got a 0.5.
HS....god a 6 hour and 10 minute game....another waste of money.
I know your probably gonna say why not just rent the games?
Well because the PS3 is not doing that well where I live no one is renting their games.
Now if I have to pay for rumble controller and not have my current crappy controller replaced by them im gonna go mafia style on the PS3 and put a bullett in it and dump it in the harbour where it belongs.
Now, this is just me, but I'd be pretty tickedif I wouldhave to rebuy a contorller to get something that should have been there to begin with.Verge_6
Yeah, you're going to have to especially if developers releases patches to add rumble to games like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Lair, NG: Sigma, etc.. Hopefully games like MGS4, FFXIII, GT5, DMC4, etc.. will all get this feature added in the games before they are released next year. I'm so glad I've waited to geta PS3. It seem the longer I wait, the better things start to get for the PS3.
JUST MY OPINION. Iv used wireless controllers since the ps2 and have since then turned rumble off. It annoys me and runs down wireless controller batteries. I own 360 and love it, but I keep rumble turned off on all games. Rumble is very overrated and I really dont understand how people cannot live w/o it and consider it to "immerse" one into the game. Its really just annoying in my opinion.Wuxsvan
I love teh rumblesss
I like rumble.
Only reason they didn't have it was because of a lawsuit pending on them, they have sense then sorted it out and can produce rumble controlers.Jynxzor
But will the PS3's installed fanbase be the ones to pay because of the lawsuit against Sony?

Who's paying for 360's warranties?

Irrelevant, but MS are. The point I was making was will those who own PS3s have to buy rumble controllers seperatley, or will they be replaced?

So is DVD but its widely used.
Cows and Sony's execs were the ones saying "Rumble" was last gen. No one else was saying that.
DVD is fine with me. I don't own any Blu-Ray or HD-DVD media. If I do finally decide to try Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, this is the player I will get. http://us.lge.com/superblu/specs.html

Microsoft is paying for it. 360 gamers don't have to pay anything for the repairs or shipping. PS3 fans will have to pay for the new Dual Shock 3 controllers. They aren't going to let gamers swap them out for FREE. Sony is too cheap to do that. Some retailers like EBGames, Gamespot or GameCrazy may allow some form of trade_in.

He's just being sarcastic. He's saying it because Sony said it. So sad!
They should have kept the design of the PS2 controller intact together with all its features, instead they removed something we loved and replaced it with something we don't need.
It will be interesting as to how they are gonna try and market it, in a bundle with a PS3 or sold separately :P

Alot of Cows feels the same but they will never admit it. Anyway like I said, the best time to get a PS3 is if when the package includes the sixaxis rumble, hdmi cable, headset, and when Home and MGS4 is already out. Oh yeah one more thing when the price drops drastically. So not this year but maybe the next.

Remember when the XBOX launched with the DUKE controller...the really huge one that nobody could hold? Then MS redesigned it and released an S Controller...which was superior in every way, and everyone that wanted the new controller had to rebuy :(, same with the original PS

Except the Duke--->S controllertransition didn't include something that could very well be an integral part of PS3 games in the future.

lol, after playing with the huge controller for so long I got use to it. Took me quite a while to buy the S controller, but dam I'm glad I did.But a different size controller is slightly different to a controller lacking a feature like rumble.
Out of the three next gen controllers the PS3 sixaxis feels the cheapest. Its like everything with the PS3 seems so premium but when you get to the sixaxis it feels like you can break it with just the slightest grip or movement. And when they add the rumble it'll still feel cheap but now vibrates, woop tee doo.
Phil Harrison :
''I believe that the Sixaxis controller offers game designers and developers far more opportunity for future innovation than rumble ever did. Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it's not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don't see the need to do that. Having said that, there will be specific game function controllers, potentially like steering wheels that do include vibration or feedback function -- not from us but from third parties."

You're kidding right? Of course PS3 owners will have to go buy the new controller. Do 360 core owners get a free HDD? Do core and standard 360 owners get a free HDMI port? What a joke.

Right, there will be no trickle down to the end user. MS will just swallo the billion in repairs. Right.

How can people even say this can be a negative thing? Your sixaxxis that you already own it's not going to stop working. And games so far do not support rumble.... So having a choice to buy a sixaxxis with rumble is a choice I'm glad I will have. Anyways who didn't saw this coming a mile away. I have bought no extra controllers because I'm waiting for the ones with rumble.kentaro22

Eyes are finally opening. Also, it's not good for Sony saving face. The Wii came out with motion sensor. Sony jumped on the bandwagon and came with sixaxis. They didn't think rumble was needed and now they change their minds. This could be a sign of desperation, but maybe it's not.
