[QUOTE="Verge_6"]Now, this is just me, but I'd be pretty ticked if I would have to rebuy a controller to get something that should have been there to begin with.-D3MO-
Remember when the XBOX launched with the DUKE controller...the really huge one that nobody could hold? Then MS redesigned it and released an S Controller...which was superior in every way, and everyone that wanted the new controller had to rebuy :(, same with the original PS
Not really the same. The S Controller was actually designed for the Japanese market because the majority of Asian gamers have smaller hands. M$ brought it to the U.S. because many U.S. gamers liked the size as well. There were still a lot of gamers with larger hand who liked the BIG controller. So both controllers still sold well. With the PS3, almost everyone is going to want the "rumble" controller because it adds a must needed feature. With games like GT5, DMC4, FFXIII possibly having "rumble" having the new DualShock 3 will be a must buy. The Xbox S Controller wasn't a must buy. It was a optional purchase. Not everyone bought that controller like they will the DualShock 3.
[QUOTE="XanderZane"]Microsoft is paying for it. 360 gamers don't have to pay anything for the repairs or shipping. PS3 fans will have to pay for the new Dual Shock 3 controllers. They aren't going to let gamers swap them out for FREE. Sony is too cheap to do that. Some retailers like EBGames, Gamespot or GameCrazy may allow some form of trade_in.
The_Crucible
Right, there will be no trickle down to the end user. MS will just swallo the billion in repairs. Right.
True. Sony will actually profit from the DualShock 3 as millions of PS3 owners run out and rebuy more controllers. ;) Glad i waited.
[QUOTE="deviates1080"]That's so last gen.The_Crucible
So is DVD but its widely used.
:lol:That's an amazing comeback!
On topic: is this the new smar trumble immersion were talking about?
Am I the only PS3 owner that is very very very very very pissed right now.
If they do release the shock controller will us shockless people be able to ship our controller for a replacement or will we have to purchase another one??????
I really can't take much more of Sony crap BS.
We get really bad ports, blame on devs all you want but I dont think every dev on the planet sits around and says lets be lazy with PS3.
I know your probably gonna say why not just rent the games?
Well because the PS3 is not doing that well where I live no one is renting their games.
Now if I have to pay for rumble controller and not have my current crappy controller replaced by them im gonna go mafia style on the PS3 and put a bullett in it and dump it in the harbour where it belongs.
barbuane
Dude your right! i am gettn tired of things. i want my money back for the controllers i bought so i can by the rumle controllers or imma gonna nuke someone!!!!
We all knew that at sometime that they would add rumble. Despite all their claims when they first launch the PS3 we all knew the reason that they didn't have rumble was couse they were getting sued. Now they can fleace all the people who baught a PS3 since it launched and baught extra controllers.
poor early adopters :PtoxicmogOf the xbox360? Elite? HDMI Better disk drives (not so loud) And what about the RROD? I hear that they are going to use a new chip (65n) for that. Most people buy extra controllers, yes, lemmings and sheep too. Rumble is a nice addition, but you don't need to rebuy your controlers.
So does this mean Sony will announce at TGS that "next gen officially begins" cause we have said so?Danthegamingman
Wrong. Despite popular belief, the last gen hasn't even started yet. Now that Sony has all the last gen features, they will officially annouce that the last gen has started.
When people were crying (or laughing) that Sony took out rumble, I made the case that rumble is irrelevant and most people don't care.
Now that Sony is bringing back Rumble, I still think it is irrelevant and most people don't care.

On topic: is this the new smar trumble immersion were talking about?
DVD is current gen since the majority is using it. Blu Ray and HD TV are basically experimental at the moment.
OMG Why are there people still defending this company.
To the people who responded to my comment.
I alredy own a 360, have for awhile.
Please stop calling people cows for making the worst mistake of their lives buying into Sony BS.
To the people who some how compare this to 360 elites having hdmi, bigger hard drives and last but not least the repairs.
Get a F****** clue.
This doesnt even compare.
None of those will make a gaming experience like rumble.
Sure some people dont like it....thats fine you can turn it off.
The point is they make this F****** claim its last gen...blah blah blah.
SO we have to play without it.....fine whatever we deal with it
Then all of a sudden they announce this, spitting in the face of all PS3 owners yet again.
Its like the promise of blu-ray....bigger space faster load times....blah blah blah
Yet games and system operates faster on the 360.
I honestly dont like posting on here and usually come on for a laugh thinking everyone is crazy for these system war arguements but man I just cant take it anymore.
Everything people been saying about Sony is true....not just about PS3 ....EVERYTHING
The games just suck....anyone who says other wise obviously hasnt played the F****** system or it is their first system in life.
Today is my last day with the PS3, in after thought I wont go throw it in a harbour but I will try and get something from EB to cut my losses.
