PS3 sells 1.7 Million in US alone for December.. 3.8 million worldwide.. Link

PS3 at 1.7 million consoles for December, Wii at 3 million and 360 hast announced yet.. After hearing this im pretty optimistic the PS3 outsold the 360 for December NPD.

The reason i say this is because even though the 360 sold 810,000 for November, it was still 19,000 less than November 2008.. in December for 2008 the 360 sold 1.4 million.. if the 360 saw a similar decline in sales then the 360 most likely sold 1.3 million for December with PS3 outselling it buy 400,000! Awesome numbers for PS3!

BTW sorry i cant link, my browser is messed up.. WOW could the PS3 actually outsell the 360 in December?

Regardless of whether or not they come in 2nd or 3rd place, those are impressive sales imo

TC, you seem extrordinarily excited over the prospect of the PS3 outselling the 360.

You may want to take a break from SW and play some Uncharted 2 (its very good. It can keep your mind off of SW for awhile).

Also, I was one of those 3 million + who bought a PS3 :P

It will be roughly 1.4 million. Including black friday sales which would give it a 400k boost. But doesn't include the post christmas sales which also tend to be somewhat high.

Im curious as to what NPD will say, regardless though I think Sony knows their own numbers better so if NPD is far off from 1.7 mill it will seem a bit odd.
