It looks like the PS3 Slim is easier to disassembled.

That fat PS3 is packed tight with all sorts of nonsense. The Slim makes incredibly more efficient use of space :o.

its stupid question time! my stupid question....can the PS3 Slims HDD be upgraded like the fant one? those shots seem to indicate that it can...but last i heard it wasnt swappable.

Yes it can be upgraded

o kewl...nice to know. great decision by sony this gen to use standard laptop HDDs in the PS3...nice to see they have continued it with the slim. i just had a quick look through the pics.....the difference is quite crazy. most of the PS3 fats size seems to be due to cooling..it has a massive fan and a heatsink that would make the cooling hardware in my PC blush :P.

**** lol i have calaises on my hands from probley playing videos games so much back in the day, but my hands have calaises 24/7. the cooler on new ps3 looks decent though, but he didnt really take all that good of photos lol.

That's probably his girl's man bear pig toe. As for the slim it looks like it will be easy too just swap out the guts in case it craps out.

So far I've been reading else where that it runs quieter but the blu ray drive feed is louder.
