Not all 360's having a HDD = Microsoft going backwards

I love Socom but I hate when devs say it couldn't be done on the 360. I do agree with the point with the hdd but Socom devs always over promise and under deliver for Socom. I hope this title will live up to the greatness that was once Socom.H3llstrike

As much as I want to say...Its pretty much trash without having to play it. Socom is that series that just keeps getting worse and worse every single time. One easily was the best online experience I had. Two...It was good....Three...Decent....Combined Assualt...Bad.

The first thing they need to do is drop that idea they can make it for 32 people...

2nd...Stop expanded on explosives and crap like that

Like for the remake...My impression was Yay...Then you find out they are tickering it for 32 players...Socom does not work with 32 players. Its like Halo with 16. Yea you can play...But theres just too many players to be honest. Or BF1942 with the full 64.

First of all, its Socom, not Socum.

Second of all, Its a PSN title, but you have to be dreaming if you think itll be free. Probably $20-$30

Totally agree, socom 1,2 were great... socom 3 was garbage, I sold it 2 weeks after I bought it. I just want to play desert glory, cross roads, blizzard... sujo. 8 vs 8 like the old times.

GRAW and GRAW2 set the bar for tactical shooter graphics on consoles. SOCOM Confrontation has alot to live up to with that little boast of theirs.

PS3 is the only console with a harddrive in every single console, so I guess this is true since this is a downloadable game.

edit: This game looks really hot for a PSN title.

Rainbow Six better look better. This is only a PSN game. It will probably get a blu-ray collectors edition like warhawk though.

I just got finsished playing the damn game 5 seconds ago, its probably the best online game for 360, but i comes nowhere close to having better graphics than socom....and most 360 games for that matter..

Im glad you said it before i did. I love rainbow, its my fav game right now, but its not good looking at all, hell its multi is downgraded. The graphics you see for socom are prealpha and are all for online, no down grades.

That a game is downloadable is a week argument, especially since PSN doesn't put restrictions on the size of those games. Virtua Fighter. There you go.

But wait... does make sense that they brag about streaming from the HDD if the game is download only? If it is, then it streams from the HDD by default.

That's either a hollow boast or the game will be released on a disc.

this is the reason im buying a ps3. Socom was the forst game that ive ever played online and not playing this will be a SIN

MS would piss off lots of people if they allowed a game to be made on their system that left a group of people out. what if they updated the 360 with a new model, runs games on HD-DVD rather than DVD. then they make great games on it, and leave everyone without one out? would that make people happy? hell no

Either way, Socom I hope will at least be decent, cause the last few games have felt like massive rehashes, like Halo rehash proportions really. Early build screenshots suggest it will look really good, however considering it is a downloadable game, it will not have insane Crysis like graphics.

Imagine some parent buys a 360 core and a game that requires a HDD. You know the rest.

oh pls that doesnt mean the game cant be done on the system, i guess demos, downloadable content and all the other stuff found on xbl marketplace also cant be done for the 360 aswell conssidering the core doesnt have an hdd. oh wait it is on the 360....durrrr
