ps3 STILL does not have a game as hardcore as gears

no ps3 game delivers the blood and testerone like gears of war does. curb stomping, chainsaws on guns, blowing bodies into confetti, big steroid pumped men, and bad ass one liners. all you get on ps3 is shoot a guy, MAYBE see some blood, and he goes down. in gears, shoot someone with a shotgun and youll see their body split into 5 peices complete with guts and even bones showing. Gears is a mans game and 360 is a mans console. If u want hardcore, gears of war is your game. NOTHING on ps3 is as hardcore. macdaddypooty

Yeah and the guy who dev. RE4 said it would never be on PS2... so much for that.

Resistance 2 is a better, more "hardcore" videogame than Gears of War 2. I've played through the SP modes of both games in "normal" diffficualty (Will replay them in harder modes in the future of course) and Resistance 2 is far more overwhelming and challenging. I've probably just turned this into another "Resistance 2 vs Gears of War 2" thread, but that's fine by me. Absolutely fine. One of those games was not a GOTY contender and one was, just throwing that out there.Floppy_Jim

KZ 2 might have as much "Manly" content, but it's not out yet so cant say that yet.

But here's what I'm wondering...

If gears 2 is so "Manly" then why is the multi-player filled with annoying kids?

Actually, I've played both Gears of War and GeoW 2 and I find the dialogue to be inappropriate, the content to be childish, unwhelming, and unnecessary, and the skill required to play the game online or in a single player game at the level of a pre-pubescent girl. It is the most monotonous game I've played being first ahead of Halo.

Example:

1.Say some stupid !@%&...check

2.Roll...check

3.Fire your weapon...check

4. Find some cover...check

5.Hey guys, let's do that all over again!!!...check.

I'm sure somewhere in there a story was being told.
