Via CNET UK "With ten days to go before the PlayStation 3 launches in the UK, where is the cavalcade, the banners, the streamers and bunting? Where are the crowds chanting on the street corners? Where are the geeks camping outside Virgin Megastore, poised expectantly, fire-axes in hand, waiting for the moment the clock strikes midnight on 23 March? There is no crowd, there are no streamers. I think the 360 is. Everyone wants a PS3 it just costs too much. The Microsoft should be glad the PS3 is $200 more. If at the same price people would have bought it without question. The PS3 is being bought everywhere despite its high price. The 360 on the other hand is not selling as fast as it should be because the system is awesome. Also the 360 is not being given a chance in Japan so the 360 wins the unwanted console award.
I didn't get it till I scrolled down and saw the second PS3 and laughed. XDI'm sorry, I had to laugh at this pic :lol:Tulak_Hord

You don't agree the 360 is actually the system getting shafted? The 360 should be selling better and it is doing terrible in japan which is unfair considering the 360 is agreat system.

I love my 360, but I don 't think it is given the respect that it deserves. I get the same feeling about my 360 as I did with my dreamcast. It is the best system that is not really being given a chance. Dreamcast did well in Japan, but poor in NA and Europe I believe. Xbox 360 doing well in NA, but poor in Japan and doing so-so in Europe.
Who would camp out for 10 days or more for a product? DementedDragonLemmings on 360's launch day. Cows waited around 8 days, and Sheep waited 3-4 days max.

The 360 is selling (and has been selling) between 250,000 and 380,000 units since launch monthly. The only place the 360 is the unwanted console is Japan...other than that it sells very well. We all already knew it wouldn't really be wanted in Japan...it is Japan afterall.
i agree. the demand just isnt' there....
some blame price, some games, others blame the weak online..
doesn't matter why....
Too bad thats not the topic of debate and the black levels are horrendous.
U can just download HD movies off of XBL and, with the 120GB harddrive coming out :)

That article is weird. I've seen many stating the PS3 is being preordered like crazy in Europe and I know for a fact that Australians are strongly anticipating the console too (it's been on the news a lot recently). Its just useless lemming propaganda :P
I dunno, to be honest it just sounds like another attempt to bring down Sony without any valid evidence, ie, add to the negative media and maybe Sony will be ignored.
They seem to forget casuals do exactly opposite of what the media wants most of the time. GTA is a fine example of that.
