ugh, we may as well change the forum name to skyrim wars.

Riverwolf007

For real... perhaps we need to re-sticky?

I agree, we've had way too many threads about skyrim recently :P

Look i know that the PC and 360 is easiest for dev's to develop on, but c'mon the friggin' PS3 has been out now for 5 years.

You mean to tell me after 5 years Bethesda and other dev's can't adjust to the PS3 hardware.

PS3 is the superior hardware on paper but when multiplat games like Skyrim, Fallout 3, Red Dead, Grand Theft Auto 4 and countless others come out, there always looking and running better on 360.

There is just no reason for this anymore.....

If this keeps up i might very well trade up so my user name matches my console again, because i'm sick of having the inferior version of the game.

Slimmin360

no, it's not the superior hardware. you guys need to stop with this crap already. even Carmack said that both consoles are pretty much equal and that the only difference is made by the devs, by how well they develop for a certain platform. so enough of this crap about ps3 hardware being superior.

Some user:

'Why You Think X360 More PowerFull Than Ps3 But The Ps3 Have 1 Core And 7 Spu And Have 50 Giga Disk And Have Rsx Why ?'

Carmacks reply:

@AhmedElblassy 'ps3 has more raw CPU
power, but 360 has more GPU, avail memory,
and is easier to develop for.'

Another user

@ID_AA_Carmack and how the firsts SONY
get the best graphics on the PS3 (Uncharted 3,
Killzone 3, GOW3)?? XB360 has nothing like this
game

Carmacks reply:

@Desmiothe differences between the
PS3 and 360 are modest enough that
differences between developers is a much
larger factor
.

so, basically Sony has great first party devs, like ND, unlike the 360.

but PLEASE STOP IT with the Ps3 is more powerful crap. it's getting annoying and stupid to always state something so false.

it's called ignorance, which goes hand in hand with fanboysm. let them believe what they want, they'll praise a game for its shiny graphics, but they will not think about it being a "corridor" game; whereas games like AC:Brotherhood should get more praise when it comes to graphics, because open world games are difficult to adapt to the weak console hardware without sacrificing some elements, but Ubisoft really managed greatly with Assassin's Creed series.

Roughly half of the multiplats this year has been better on the PS3. Not counting all the ties. So we have nothing to complain about really. Bethesda is a lazy developer that's nothing new.

"on paper" you're talking nonsense. both consoles have minor differences in terms power, as stated several times even by important devs.

devs make all the difference, Carmack is so right about that, but it should also be obvious.

Too bad noone seems to have been able to utilize the supposed power of the 360 then. Cause there are 5 PS3 exclusives way ahead of anything on 360 right now in terms of graphics.

Sony has great first party devs, 360 has basically none. it's just Epic, which is not first party, but tstill hey made a great looking game like Gears of War 3. Uncharted looks so good because Naughty Dogs are great, because it's a so called corridor game. you don't really have those kinds of exclusive, corridor games on the 360, but it's easy to suppose that they could be easily done and that would look great on the platform, unlike games with large field of view, i.e. free roaming games, which eat a lot more resources.

Ehhh Gears 3 is a corridor game and it's nowhere near uncharted. Nice try though.

either you can't read or you're just a blind fanboy. I'd say both would suit your desperate case.

first party? yeah no. and btw Uncharted is the epitome of linear game, though very nice.

What's your point with all this? Gears is linear and uncharted is linear. He said that somehow would diminish Uncharted's graphical accomplishment but somehow this wasn't applicable to Gears.

my point is that relying on exclusives, real first party exclusives - like the above user also mentioned - is a huge factor in terms of pushing the hardware and polishing the game well, unlike third party devs.

Which doesn't contradict my initial statement at all: "Too bad no one seems to have been able to utilize the supposed power of the 360 then. Cause there are 5 PS3 exclusives way ahead of anything on 360 right now in terms of graphics."
