[QUOTE="BobHipJames"][QUOTE="thegame1980"][QUOTE="AdobeArtist"] The debate should be ended, but the reasons you placed for that TC are ENTIRELY WRONG.
The fact is, the visual quality on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 is so ridiculously close, people are just nitpicking over the most minute, and ultimately insubstantial details to have bragging rights. As if there was a gap between them like comparing PS1 and Gamecube.
And if one system has a new game that juuuuuust edges in graphics over the other platform? It's still young into this generation. The other will come out with something that tops that (again by just a small margin) as the two competitors escalate their battle of one upmanship. And NO, neither console has "maxed out its potential" after only 2 years as some fanboys like to say. Which is a GOOD thing for us gamers. We reap the benefits of their trying to earn our favor.
Also, many people overlook the importance of art direction and sty1e that it's not just about the technical graphics of polygons, texture resolution, surface refraction and such. Games like Okami and Killer 7 have a unique and beautiful sty1e
Bottom line - either one of these systems will give you a gaming experience with brilliant visuals that will pull you into an immersive world of both realism and art design. The battle for "graphics supremacy" is ultimately futile.

Well said. Bravo!
So the Wii is the most powerful console?
Adobe Artist is making a fallacy the likes of which we've seen many times on System Wars. Art direction does not equal technical graphics and we've consistently tried to prove to people like you (fanboys) that, no, it isn't a "ridiculously close margin" we've determined by "nitpicking."
Play Ratchet, play Uncharted. Then be quiet.
you my friend are are an idiot, i've played uncharted and i am far from saying its the best looking game (console) game this gen, i love ratchet so ill let that one slide, uncharted isnt as great as people say, you give a nice looking game (not great) some bright alive colors and all of a sudden it becomes "Teh Greatest GrafiX's", i like uncharted as much as the next guy but this game is overpraised for its graphics so much it isnt even funny (mostly by cows)BobHipJames, just HOW did I infer that Wii is more powerful than X360 or PS3? I said that art direction is highly overlooked by people who only look at the technical side of graphics. Flashy polygons and textures are great and all, but it's the art direction that sets the mood and tone of the game. Which is why it is not to be underestimated.
So yes, from the technical aspect X360 and PS3 are far more powerful than Wii. But even in that league, art sty1e is still integral to visual quality.
As for Uncharted, yes it IS an graphically beautiful game. But nothing that X360 isn't capable of. Again the gap between that and games like Bioshock, Gears, NG2, Mass Effect isn't THAT huge (see my earlier PS1 to Gamecube metaphore). Can you really tell me the visual fidelity between X360 and PS3 is that far apart? Really, can you?
