We get it the PS3 is everyone wet dream compared to a 360. Ms is evil. SOny doesn't care about our money. They just want us to have the best gaming experience from the bottom of their heart. I heart Sony. They did nothing but great wonders for me. They alloowed me to buy a system for $600. They allowed me to look at blu ray movies until 2009. They allowed me to help cure cancer. I mean without sony I wouldn't be able to look at movies and see how awesome blu ray is. What would I do without SOny.

I would probably have to play that overrated game called Halo and its cousin Gears of War. Or maybe I would have to play those wannabe FF games and DQ games. Or better yet I would be forced to play that Lego physic simulator call Forza 2. Thankyou SOny you spared me from this due to the power of the cell, 1.3 hdmi, and thanks to the 50 gigs of space of blu ray. I can now get more sound than game play in my games. Once again where would I be without Sony.

Or you can buy an external Esata drive and just connect it to the internal SATA port on your PS3. Then you can get tons of storage for next to nothing. 500gb drives/enclosures go for less than $100 if you keep your eyes open.

Edit: Buy an enclosure that has it's own powersupply.

that was kind of weird, but back to the pricing of the harddrive. yea its pretty bogus that MS would put a pricetag on something like that considering how the price of memory (RAM, External HDD, etc., etc.) are going down each and every year.

Exactly I will never have to deal with the dreaded DRE from last gen because blu ray + the cell just made everything better.

No you can...you remove the hdd from the 360...you take the hdd out of the case it comes in...you buy a new harddrive...you insert that hdd into the hdd case...and attach it to the 360...if that's rigging then you don't know what the word means. any more questions?

While it's possible to do that it's not recommended and it's not approved by MS. You are taking a big chance that they will at the very least void your warranty. Something you need with X360.

It will void the warranty....on your HDD...which isn't really needed since you're putting a new one in it in the first place. As far as the rest of the system, warranty's still good.

I seriously doubt that... Third party accessories or your own MODs are not accepted by MS period. You are saying if I MOD an Xbox with a faster DVD drive that would mean only my DVD drive isn't covered under warranty? Sorry but that's not the case. Also the last thing you want is Microsoft to cancel your X-Box Live account. No hacks of any kind allowed on XBox Live.

It's okay to mention it's possible, but acting like it's 100% legit is just going to get people in trouble.

The only problem with that kind of thinking is that the DVD drive is inside the system and the HDD attaches to the outside. When i had to send my 360 in they specifically told me not to send my HDD. So as far as system repairs there's no cause for concern.

I can get 80gb for £22 which can be formatted and used as a ps3 HDD. But in that case i'd rather have a PC with lots and lots of RAM :|

Yeah you have to keep your HDD when you send in your Xbox. And how would they detect a new hard drive over Xbox Live?
