Ps3 vs xbox360 graphics (with poll)

Generally multiplatform games look better on the 360. Theres no denying that. But most games are developed with the 360 as the lead since it's an easier platform to develop for. Supposedly the 360 and PS3 are stronger in other areas. Supposedly in some important areas some how PS3 is considered more powerful. I'm no expert, I don't know how it all is.

However, I am aware that most games don't even use this supposed extra since most games are multiplatform and again, the PS3 just isnt a very easy platform to develop for effeciantly. Only a hand full of games have used the PS3's supposed extra power and those are from Sony's own developers or payed ones. But making games exclusive to the PS3 just isnt a very good idea business wise so it's very unlikely that many game will ever really show case this magic hidden graphical advantage.

What I'm saying is while the two console may not be equal, but they might as well be. The PS3's supposed graphical advantage wont hardly ever be show cased since it's most profitable develop games multiplatform. And while certain games may look slightly better on one of the consoles, in most cases you are not going to be able to tell the diference unless comepare the games side by side and when it comes to that the only people who care which is better are the fanboys.

It was the same deal last gen. The xbox and Gamecube were both more powerfull than the PS2. But since the PS2 was head and shoulders above the competition you rarely ever got to see how much better Gamecube and xbox games could look, especially since the Gamecube didn't even use the DVD format.

what is the point, we all know the true.... while the differences between multi game is minor and usually unnoticable, the differences between exclusives is clear.......PS3 wins.......x360 has some good graphics tho.

The ps3 looks better in exclusives, where graphic comparisons actually count.

Iv done alot of polls, teh ps3 always wins, atfirst i was liek alright..yea, now i see thats there are a ton of cows, its obvous when it comes to multiplatfroms teh 360 wins, so the ps3 winning this, means that we got more cows on these forums then ms fanboys. (if only there was a button to magicly get rid of them)

TR is right, the GEOW2 is on par with KZ2 and Uncharted is better, but alan wake is just almost as good from a visual aspect and MUCH better on a technical one, but have you seen Just cause 2, go on digital foundry and scroll down, it looks amazing, IMO.

TR is right, the GEOW2 is on par with KZ2 and Uncharted is better, but alan wake is just almost as good from a visual aspect and MUCH better on a technical one, but have you seen Just cause 2, go on digital foundry and scroll down, it looks amazing, IMO.

Does it really matter? Multiplatform games look so close. As for exclusives, while Killzone 2 is king right now, I'm willing to bet they'll be a 360 game within a year that tops that. JohnClog

Girls can be analyzed bit by but as well, when you break down GEOW2/KZ2 you notice they do alot of things worse/better than each other equally.

Exclusives are the games that show the graphical strengths of a console, and so far the PS3 has made it clear it is more powerful. Multiplatform games depend on the engine and which platform it is optimized for + they show very little differences in most cases.hamidious

I don't judge the PS3 and 360 by multiplats. I only use exclusives. Exclusives take full advantage of that consoles hardware. With multiplats, it all depends on the dev and how much time they put into each version. If they feel like putting more time and effort into the PS3, then that version looks better. If the dev puts more time and effort into the 360 version, then that version looks better.

PS3 graphics are better in exclusive games.
