I have a 360, and was thinking of getting a PS3. Out of the games that are out on both systems, what are the differences? I just want some info. :)OG_Rehab
Just read some of the topics around here. SW is replete with this type of information. You could also compare GS's reviews for each system (gamewise); however, those might nt be of much help.
PS3 has potential. Anyway, the PS3 has alot more action/fighting games and the like coming to it. There's some shooters like Haze, Killzone and Resistance but..they're virtually the same console. Look at the exclusives and see what you like best.
Also, the PS3 has built in wifi, M+Keyboard support, free online and bluray player and no RROD.
So is Sony using the extra space on the blue ray disc or are the games running 4-9 gigs each? Like Does COD4 have more stuff on the PS3 or is it the same as it is on the 360?OG_Rehab
it uses the same space as the 360 one....but i dont expect many games to use 25 to 50 gigs yet....maybe in the future?
Anymore the differences are negligible the latest multiplats have been equal or slightly better on PS3.
COD4- equal
DMC4- slightly better on PS3 according to reviews (although I cant tell a difference)
Burnout: Paradise - slightly better on PS3
If you don't pay for Live with Microsoft you will be able to play online for free with PS3 that's nice. X360 does have achievments though while the PS3 version doesn't. The PS3 versions usually have things to earn in the game but they don't help towards any kind've gamer points. In the future PS3 will have it's own "trophy" system that will be similiar.
GTAIV is getting exclusive download content on the X360. We don't know what it is or how much it will cost yet. We do know that the PS3 is also getting download content, but it isn't exclusive. Again we don't know what it is or how much it will cost yet.
I'm sorry I thought you were just asking about multiplats. It's the exclusives is where PS3 really shines. Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank are both amazing games. I'd also recommend at the bare minimum renting Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm and Resistance (wait for Resistance2). Also Warhawk is a great online game, probably the most fun I had online last year.
How is PS3's Online service? The only thing I hate about my Xbox is that I'm on my 6th Xbox. Thanks to the rings of death. OG_Rehab
it's fine. and it will get better

It's got advantages and disadvantages. Advantages are PSN support big games like Warhawk and Resistance with little to no lag. PSN offers mods for UT3. PSN is free. Disadvantages: Live has better messaging and achievements.
Like any online service it's as good as your friends list. So try to find some cool people to game with; that in the end is what makes it.
I played the xbox360 and the ps3 both and I think that the ps3 owns. I dont know why but I hate halo so much. I played cod4 on the 360 and I think that its not even comparable to the ps3. Thats my opinion on the ps3 vs the 360 =D

I also found PS3 has a friendly community albeit small. It's much easier to find people who actually add to your friend's list (I don't have any friends who own a PS3) and they talk more often than on Live. For example, when I am not playing with friends, people are either 1. silent 2. jerks, who talk in baby voices and make annoying noises. There are times I meet mature people, but it's rare especially on Halo 3. However, THAT comes at a price. PS3 has NO, I mean absolutely NO community in Team Fortress 2 and Rainbow Six Vegas. There are decent amount in UT3, but I don't hink it will last. Warhawk had low sales, but it's turning more into like a cult game, so there won't be a shortage of people there.

COD4 looks better on 360. Ps3 version uses more low res textures.
DMC4 looks better on 360. 360 version has 2xAA, ps3-version lacks AA and blurrs the image to hide jaggies. 360 version has very slight screen tearing in some empty areas, but less slowdown compared to ps3.
Burnout looks the same. Just look at eurogamer pics.
