things will change...but thats pretty bad news for Sony. They have to do something quick or the PS3 may just be an xbox in japan.

I don't think there is anything they can do. FFXIII won't do anything more than give the PS3 a bump in Japan. IT could be a big bump but after that it will just slip back down. They need much more than just FF, MGS, GT. The way the Japanes market is they need to find something that can be a huge success like Brain Age, Nintendogs, or Animal Crossing is in Japan.

back on topic... yah i see what your saying the closest thing they have to a new and fresh idea is Little big people and those games really don't appeal to the market that are considering purchasing PS3.
Games sell consoles. The most wanted games = most wanted consoles. The fact is PS3 is too expensive, another fact is that Wii is much for fun, and PS2 is still the best console, its the only last gen console thats got some breath to it.
The transition will be slow, but the PS2 devs will start working there way to the PS3, and then we'll see our regular mass of generic rpgs that are popular, and some unique ones.Â
