[QUOTE="Puckhog04"][QUOTE="InfamousC"][QUOTE="Puckhog04"][QUOTE="beyondgamez"][QUOTE="Puckhog04"]The 360 was planned as a gaming Console. It's that simple, that doesn't make it badly planned. They aren't forcing a format onto people therefore raising the price of the console. HD-DVD and Bluray are movie formats that are used for watching movies, it's not as if either of them is going to be anywhere near overtaking DVD's anytime soon. Therefore, they weren't required. Its not planned to for only a gamin console..Microsoft have the same vision as sony..well copying sony that is.callin their console a home entertainment system.blue ray is winning right now..it might not over take dvds soon but eventually blue ray will come on top in the future.and who ever said microsoft console is well planned does the red ring of death sound familiar..lol..they rushed their system and now they tryin to play catch up with sony hardware..
It's like talking to a wall with you people. Please, get a clue.
1. PS3 is a trojan horse for Bluray right now, if you want to debate that then you are in denial.
2. Bluray is winning right now, wonderful. Yet, neither HD-DVD or bluray will overtake DVD's within the next 5 years. By then another Console will be readily available from each company.
3. HD-DVD and Bluray is used for movies, nothing more. Simply more storage for games...and until you have every game on the 360 being on more than one disc, this isn't an issue. It's not needed seeing as Blue Dragon is the only game on multiple discs out of 150+ games.
4. I suppose when you have nothing else to bash with a Console you bash the failure rate. Sure, there is a 5% defective rate. I'm assuming that you're weak in the math subject judging from your grammar so i'm going to enlighten you. 10 million consoles sold worldwide/.05 (Yes, this is 5%, sorry if i confused you)Â = 500,000 Consoles that are potentially going to get the ring of death.
5. Unless you went around whining about how PS2's were busting all around then i suggest you stop talking about the failure rate of consoles, seeing as the dreaded PS2's Disc Read Error was much more prominent then any problem with the Xbox 360.
6. Yes, i'm going to buy a PS3 when the price goes down and/or MGS4 comes out. Yes, you are a fanboy. Does this mean you have to do nothing but post the same crap over and over again all the while getting debunked? No. So stop.
Blu Ray isn't used for games??? That explains why Ninja Gaiden sigma will have no load times..
If that's all you had to comment in that then i guess i was mostly right.
Like i said, Bluray has more space for games, that's about it. I don't think the load times attribute anything to Bluray specifically. It's a glorified version of Ninja Gaiden Black that was on the Xbox years ago, i'd hope that it had no load times on a next gen console even without Bluray.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma has no load times because it will be loaded on the HDD. (Actually, there will be load times, but it would be like a game loading from the HDD on your PC)
As i said then, doesn't attribute anything to Bluray. :)
