Theoretically yes, it has the highest specs, you never know though. Maybe the low early sales will act as an advantage and people will start to get into the PS3 scene later on. So the possibility is good.
I think it will last as the PS2 is still living even after XBOX and Game Cube are dead.
But, this time, I believe SONY will surely want to release their console at the same time as Microsoft does as they should by now know what a year head start can do.
I think it depends on how this gen pans out for them. They might not want to let the competition get a foothold like this gen.
I think MS are timing it about right with a new console probably in 2-3 years time. Any later and the PC will just be soo far ahead and it will not be able to receive a decent port of any of its games.
I agree... but imo its not a good thing.... 5 years and I'm ready for new hardware. But I suppose that doesn't mean that Sony can't continue to support the PS3 after the PS4 releases.... but yeah anyway.... I don't care as I don't plan to ever buy a PS3....and most likely won't get a PS4 either, unless Sony changes its ways drastically, which I'm not holding my breath for.
