PS3 worth the extra hundred quid?

I went with the 360 myself-it's got more exclusives that fit my interests and at the time I didn't have a good PC, so I had access to numerous PC/360 restricted multiplats, so I was quite happy with that.

It really depends, however, on your own personal gaming styIe-if you love the MGS series, from what I've heard, you cannot go wrong with getting a PS3 and MGS4. The exclusives here and there and all of the multiplats should keep you more than happy. Otherwise, I'd go for the 360, as it has access to the PC/360 restricted multiplats, like Mass Effect, as well as numerous stellar exclusives of its own.

Did you consider upgrading your PC instead of buying a console?

I would recommend a PS3, paying for Live stinks, especially considering every other console, including the Nintendo DS, is able to do online for free. ALso, I think the PS3 just has better exclusives, I play both consoles regularly, and alot of the XBOX "exclusives" are actually better on PC anyway, so that might factor into your decision.

XBOX has Halo 3, which alot of people like. PS3 has Resistance 2, which I feel is better, but I'm biased.

We know the PS3 has a blue ray player, but to be honest, personally 'm not interested I'm playing blue ray DVDs, I wanna GAME!

People say the 360 breaks often, surely if you have warranty you can get it repaired?

wow just now getting a next gen console? Well i say the ps3 of coursse it has lots of games for you to GAME, really it has all the multiplats awesome exclusives like MGS4 and little big planet.

the free online is also a huge plus
