PS3-It Only Does Everything

Good ad campaign. Completel untrue though.Goes to put a gears of war disc into the ps3 tray.

It'll never get old. The Xbox 360 is a design disaster...and it deserves to be drilled to the end so that Microsoft does not make this mistake with their next console.

I can think of a few things off the bat that my PS3 can do that the 360 cant. 1) Web Browse. 2) Blu-Ray. 3) Function for more than 6 months

My 360 has been functioning for long over 6 months, RROD isn't as common of an occurence anymore. Also, you can web browse on the 360, look it up.

the funniest part is how it actually does less than the previous 'gen' which did less than the launch consoles. what next ps3 extra slim with no blu-ray?

Does the 360 do Wi-fi out of the box? No. Can the 360 charge the controller battery out of the box? No. Does the 360 have free online gaming? No. Can the 360 play a hi-def movie format out of the box? No. Xbox 360- It almost does nothing, Red rings of death included out of the box :lol:

I did, and I barely got my foot in before the disc tray broke.

It does offer more features for no extra fee.

It comes with free online.

Free wifi.

Bluray player.

Blutooth.

Sony would be stupid not to advertise based on this.

To be honest. I think this is the3rdbest ad campaign I've ever seen besides the priceless and I'm a mac and I'm a pc. 2nd bestprint adbesides the priceless mastercard.

@TheArmyGuy48No you phail because that's not even half the advertisement. You failed to mention themes, voice chat, text chat, multiplayer, in game xmb, 1080p, parental controls, game add-ons, games, dvds, free demos, exclusives, trophies (which are the same as achievements), streaming, video chat, harddrive, slideshows, and much more. It actually works out to around 85-90% or so, not 33%. And I said I was exagerating with the 99% and by 99% I meant pretty much everything.

yeah.... wonder what the general public is gonna get quicker. a price drop on the Playstation 3 (with the different ads highlighting the various abilities of the PS3). Or a crying plastic baby standing next to the PS3, or an exploding rubix cube.

plus i was looking at the part where it flips through the "It Only Does Everything" set. and i read.

I mean how is that no true? I mean out of that whole list hte only thing the 360 can't do starts with the word Blu, can't do internet either.

It's a good ad, they're funny, they're approachable, they're making it appealing to the general public. the tag line "It Only Does Everything" is a great tagline, it is a confident slogan for the Playstation 3.

and i mean 360 even has their own similari 'multi-media' commercial.

so 360 fanboys (who don't know that i too own a 360) go ahead and blast me. but this whole thing is stupid. Sony finally makes a good ad campaign, and the next thing a fanboy somewhere on the internet starts to find a reason to not like it.

hardcore fanboys, the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the gaming community as far as i'm concerend.

It doesn't play Halo, Cross game voice chat, custom soundtracks, netflix, etc. :D

Why do people freakin care!? Its just an ad, and if you've been outside at all in your whole life you must've seen lots of ads and billboards, and they're just NOISE. You're not supposed to believe 100% of it all the time.

For example, I'm a ps3 fanboy and I honestly don't give a damn about an ad thats advertising something I already own. Not the slim, but yeah you get the point.

PS3, it only does everything, except play PS2 games.

First when does every system have to play Halo??? And the Ps3 can do custom soundtracks if you are talking about music. But can only play music in a few games because Micro$oft has rights to that. Just to name the ones I have that play music Killzone 2 and Warhawk. And the Ps3 can do netflix lol its been doing it since the start. Because it has a Web Browser plus we can do facebook twitter and all tat other stuff we have. All we don't have IS cross-game chat but Sony could have put it in the update but they are having some trouble with 3rd party developers puttig it in some games. So cross-game chat is all the 360 can do tat the ps3 can;t o yea 360 can alos do a 54% failure rate lulz

its an ad, you dont expect a company trying to sell its products to say, 'hey look we have our Ps3 consoles at $299, its nothing special but buy it cause we got salaries to pay & bills to settle'

If it wasn't for Halo and the fact that I like the Xbox 360 controller just a little bit more, I would pretty much already be set on getting a PS3.
